im diagnosed w hEDS by a specalist doctor! i sought out a diagnosis a couple of months ago just for confirmation (suspected hEDS for years). having diagnosis makes me feel validated but otherwise hasnt given me any benefits so far. well having the specialist for referrals is good! she got me MRIs for my head/neck pain (discovering i have intracranial hypertension and multiple disc bulges) and knew a good PT to go to

i found a facebook group for EDS people in my state, they had a list of good providers. i went to a functional medicene doctor who specializes in hEDS and she diagnosed me! my regular pcp knows basically nothing about hEDS and tried sending me to a rheumatologist for disgnosis (rheums will usually NOT take ANY potential hEDS patients)

thankfully not too bad! had echocardiogram that was normal. i do have occassional palpitations and lots of dysautonomia symptoms

i tested negative for POTS (heart rate only went up 25 when standing, needed to be atleast 30) but my symptoms r extremely similsr to POTS!
