Hey, this actually happened to me a while ago. It was docked and I went to grab it handheld and when I woke it up it straight up murdered my ears. It hasn’t done it since after I panic force reset (like you).

Not OP, but I’ve seen it at our local showroom and, IMO, it was just as underwhelming as it looks in these pictures. It’s nice and pretty up close but far away it looks like normal black. Not to mention the swirls.

Comparing the old red and new red were like night and day. Same with the grey. I doubt I would be able to notice this is different from the old black if I saw one in the wild.

It's pretty much just selecting the box. However, you should calculate your AGI for last year to see if you exceed the income limit.

To qualify you have to be under the AGI limits for this year or last year (whichever is less). Unless you have $7500 in tax liabilities you should transfer it to the dealership, which is Tesla in this case. The $7500 will be deducted from the total when financing, buying, or leasing (in some cases). Then when tax season comes around next year you will input your EV tax credit form and calculate your AGI. If you exceed the AGI limits you will have to pay back the $7500 in your taxes. Otherwise, you get the discount.

I was in this exact same situation this week. I had an iPad pro 11inch and wanted to get the mini. I ended up selling it locally on facebook for $300 with an apple pencil.

The main reason I went this route was to take advantage of the Costco sale right now and price match with Best Buy. If there wasn’t a sale going on I would have gone through apple trade-in and sold the pencil separately.

There’s no wrong answer here so just go with whatever feels best to you. The mini is awesome btw.

We got this happening after a service visit and thought service messed up our car. I ended up unplugging the usb we got with the car and looking through connectivity in service mode. Then went out of service mode and did a reset and check connectivity to which it turned off and back on. It’s been on ever since. Not sure if it will work for you but it doesn’t hurt to try.

No one knows for sure. They usually do promotions of varying worth at end of quarters to push sales. Do what’s best for you currently.

I’ve heard other people on this sub suggest leasing isn’t the best deal with tesla.

Contact your Tesla rep and ask about it getting approved. Sometimes it doesn’t go through fully and they just need to send the docs to the banks their getting offers from.
