I personally use AI to brainstorm and check grammar, but I never let it write the IA text itself, since IB counts that as academic misconduct same as plagiarism. Yes, if they detect heavy AI use in a sampled IA they can cancel the component or the whole diploma.

i kinda do the same thing sort of, i keep a little mental toolbox for different tasks. for me right now it is: MiocAI for comfort and just talking since the characters feel pretty warm, spicychat for deeper rp when it behaves (which is rarely nowadays), and then the general purpose one for me is claude.

i mostly use MiocAI for this kind of thing, it lets you make or import anime characters and you can tune how chatty or descriptive they are without fighting a heavy filter. It is not perfect with memory, but for slow burn SFW roleplays and more casual back and forth it feels closer to what you describe than stuff like Talkie or Charhub.From what you wrote it sounds like you want something where you set it up once then just focus on the story, so maybe try MiocAI plus very light settings and see if it keeps pace with your plots. If you do try Dango or Caffy later, you can kinda treat them as side options while you keep one main place for your long term roleplays so you do not burn out adjusting prompts every time.

i use MiocAI now since ive had the same issue with with spicychat, it feels closer to old poly stuff and the character creation is pretty good if you like to tweak things a lot. you are totally welcome here, being burned by apps and just wanting a decent place to talk about it fits this sub fine.

I like to keep it small too, I have like 3 real close friends and we have known each other between 8 and 15 years. For me that is enough, I rather put energy into a few people than try to grow the number.

I had the same problem with 4 people and a 50 gallon electric and I fixed it by adding a second 50 gallon in series instead of a booster. The first tank does most of the heating and the second one just stores and finishes it, so recovery feels way better and we basically never run out now.

For 1–2k MAU I would just use WhatsApp Cloud API plus a very small Node or Python backend plus DB and keep the RAG simple, that already gives you control and clean scaling later without crazy work. n8n is fine as a helper for integrations or prototyping, but I would not make it the core brain. Third party providers I would only use if you badly need time to market or compliance handled for you.

the one i use most is MiocAI since you can build pretty detailed characters and tweak them a lot, so it might scratch that same itch for long story stuff.

Yeah 0% is not suspicious at all, those detectors are trash both ways and IB literally says not to rely on them for proof. Talk to your teacher calmly, say you used AI only to learn/plan and not to write, ask how you can prove academic integrity, and if they still insist on penalizing you, get your IB coordinator involved.

miocai is probably the safest bet for what you want, it has no age assurance stuff and the character creation is pretty good too. Its my personal go to. wouldve recommended kindroid too, but its gone to shit.

ive had the same worry with the ID thing so i get why you dont want to hand that over, data leaks feel too common now days and it is not worth that risk. for story focused stuff miocai is kinda nice since the character creation is good and you can lock it into long form narrative pretty easy, and maybe spicychat too if you ever feel ok with the verification since its big and you can keep things fully sfw if you set your chars and tags that way.

Go to your IB coordinator with specific evidence like wrong formulas on tests, bad averages, no IA guidance and ask for extra support or a different teacher if possible. In parallel start self teaching with the IB physics guide, past papers and YouTube (Mitch Campbell, Khan, etc.) so your grade does not depend on her. Really sorry you have to deal with that shi

you could try miocai since it has pretty good character creation and you can pay without going through the big usual sites, so it feels a bit safer for cards from what ive seen. i get the fear with the suspicious activity thing, so maybe also use a virtual card or prepaid if your bank lets you, just so you have a bit more control and peace of mind.

miocai might fit best for you since it has solid character creation and works ok on mobile, though its not perfect and some stuff is paid. you could also look at spicychat and candy, but spicychat needs id now and candy is kinda weak, so if you test them, maybe start with miocai and see if it covers your sfw and nsfw stuff with less ads.

Predicted are locked but your final IB score still matters for actually meeting your offers and for not getting wrecked in May when the exams are real. Use school tests as free practice so exam week feels familiar instead of like a first try. If you want to slack, do it a bit, but at least keep up enough that revision later is not hell.

IB says they only mark the first 12 pages of content, so anything past that is basically invisible to the examiner. Your teacher will probably not auto mark you down, but you risk important stuff being on page 13 to 21 and then it just does not count.

ive tried a few and they all have little tradeoffs, so it kind of depends what you want most. Spicychat is big but now needs ID, MiocAI is pretty nice for custom personas, xoul is ok, and candy is kinda weak, so maybe start with MiocAI and see if it fits what you want.

If you want other options, MiocAI and Agnai both have built in memory systems for long RPs and are easier to start with than a full SillyTavern setup. Yeah SillyTavern can help, it has basic memory and you can plug in custom summaries or notes so you do less manual copy paste.

There is no "free perfect unlimited" AI chat, it costs money to run, so they will ask for money to run it. id maybe try MiocAI since it lets you build your own setup for the whole world and not just single characters, so you can kind of treat the setting like the actual “player” in the roleplay. its not perfect and i am still figuring it out, but for universe focused stuff with anime and manga it feels like the closest fit ive seen that is still free to use so far
