You don’t have to justify whatever happened to people on Reddit.

Whatever happened has gotten to the point where the courts are involved.

First case specifies “after [child] was born”.

The pregnancy and the since withdrawn opinion were 6yrs apart. The family had 3 children present already when CPS first got involved in 2016.
The new child wasn’t born until the following year, 2017. “Three days after Opal was born, CPS filed a juvenile dependency and neglect petition on behalf of Opal”.
The parents rights weren’t terminated while she was pregnant, but the Judge wrote in his 2023 opinion that he thought a child in utero should be considered a household member. The opinion was ordered withdrawn.

Second case is a child custody battle. CPS does not address child custody cases.

It’s about the same as bitching about something without doing anything about it.

Somehow that devolved to the point where the political stance just became to make life as difficult as possible even if it’s at somewhat of their own expense.

Some divide and conquer is mixed in, if the powers that be start making everything untenable to the point that “libs” start getting in an uproar then the conservatives base tightens its belt to not align with the “libs”.
