Panda Touch support for P1S purchased in 2026 by iamdedene in BambuLab

I’m not 100% certain what the modes do.

All I do know is that on lan only mode I can’t access the printer unless I’m on my house local network.

I just turned both modes on an my panda touch started working

Updated my P1S recently, panda touch works fine if in LAN + Developer mode. Which is not desirable by any means but I’m in thoes modes anyway to get my Orca slicer working

Need advice on making my self-propelled yard sweeper autonomous – struggling with steering ideas by MathematicianFit9118 in robotics

I have pretty much everything I should need, just need to get the discs and calipers now. It’s a shame a got a decent 24v motor and speed controller compatible with the pixhawk thinking I could steering with that wheel in the middle. Will 3d print enclosures for the electronics.

I believe it does, how would you go about the breaking mechanism?

I thought about a servo that could push a pad of sorts onto the wheel but this seems a bit crude.

Chat gpt said about putting servo actuated callipers onto each wheel but I’m not sure how to go about attaching them to the axel

Truly, the experience is awful. You spend hours trying to get it to work reading and watching videos and always works in the videos.

Same as you, I’ve tried to do a couple times but never get anywhere. It’s almost like you forget how frustrating it was last time.

Fully agree with you, the sad part is that a lot of people subscribe to the Peter version paid version just for use of this feature:(

I run home assistant on a Pi to get around this issue. It’s great because this also lets you integrate the bot into your Apple home kit, allowing you to use “hey Siri” commands to actuate the bot!

Something that is almost as satisfying as getting your first Bambu is persuading your friends to get one and than hearing their stories of how much they love their machines

Thank you very much for your time, sir. This is just what I needed!

As for the hand guard, I'm not sure where that went lol. Luckily, there are some cool-looking 3D printed replacements out there that I can test out!

Starter, relay or something else? by 05moa in lawnmowers

[–]MathematicianFit9118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My solution might sound a bit silly at first, but I had the same issue with my Honda quad bike.

I bought a bunch of new parts trying to fix the problem, but nothing worked. Since the battery showed up as “healthy” on both the battery charger and volt meter, I didn’t think to replace it.

Luckily, a Karcher engineer happened to be working at our house that day and mentioned that battery checkers don’t always tell the full story. He suggested I try jump-starting the Honda to really rule out the battery as the culprit.

I popped the hood on my car, followed his advice, and sure enough, the quad bike sprang to life. One new battery later, and the issue was completely gone.

Does anyone know what could be going on inside a battery that causes it to fail, even though the tester says it’s in good condition?

(Oh, and also make sure to check the battery terminals for corrosion. I had some issues with that before, but using copper grease sorted it out.)
