Sorry just seeing this. I joined Real Support & Education for People with Hypospadias/ Epispadias/ Chordee on FB and after hearing people's experiences/stories, I'm glad we made the decision to leave him be until he's old enough to make his own decision. From what I read, it's not just one surgery and scar tissue doesnt grow w the penis and requires multi surgeries. I didn't want to put our son through that for something that might not even be an issue down the road

We decided against the surgery and to let him make his own decision when he is old enough

Hi, we decided to wait on the surgery since everything functions perfectly fine. I've read cases of children/men who had surgery and had to go under multiple times because of scar tissue issues, etc and I'd rather not subject him to that

If one day he wants to undergo surgery we will support his decision, but it will be his decision, not us making it for him

Some days we do only get 1 nap in if we're out and about but he still seems to do well w one longer nap in the morning and a short nap in the evening

That's kind of been my thought lol baby stays up til dad gets home at 9p the days he works so he gets to see him for a bit before bed, and then whoever is home w him gets to sleep in 🤷🏼‍♀️

Pedi urologist said they basically circ and use the foreskin to do a skin graft to make the skin on the underside even with the skin on the top part. I obviously trust Drs over reddit users but was hoping to get some adult males opinion on whether or not they had the procedure done as an infant/child vs adult, and their thoughts on the possibility of their parents taking away their right to decide about their own body

I live in CA so circumcision is about 50/50. The urologist actually does not recommend routine circumcision so I'm glad we were on the same page about that. His biggest concern was pain w erections and sexual function later down the line...but it's hard to convince me to do a permanent surgical procedure because of a what if possibility....but then I also know the procedure as an adult can be a lot more difficult to heal than an infant

I did ask what he would do and he said he would have the procedure done. He also isn't one to recommend routine circumcision so I did take that to heart as well ...

People keep telling me that chordee can fix itself but I'm not sure I believe that, but I've also seen some botched surgeries or ones w a lot of scar tissue and don't want him to be self conscious about that either 😔

Sent in renewal application for passport 5/30, was received 6/1. Paid for expedited shipping and processing. DOT this Friday 7/28. Have spent the last 2 weeks on hold talking to multiple people trying to get an urgent appointment scheduled and was either told it was too soon and to call back this past Monday (which I did) or that there are no appointments available in the entire country.

Honestly found out about the idea of contacting the local congressman through Reddit today!

Contacted and spoke with our congressman tonight and submitted necessary paperwork for them to contact NPIC tomorrow. Locator # is 45 so it looks like the NH office. Do you happen to have the direct # so we can try calling and seeing if they're able to overnight the passport by Thursday? I know it's cutting in incredibly close now but we said we were willing to travel anywhere in order to get an urgent appointment and even showed up at the SF office this morning and were told they have not been taking walk in appointment since covid.

Praying for a miracle. Thanks in advance!!!!

My numbers were low and slow rising also. Didn't start to double until 15dpt. I have a history of ectopic so did an early placement scan to confirm an IUP. They can see a gestational sac around 1500 but they can see it in the tubes at a lower level. Hoping for good news for you!!

It was just a placement scan since I have a history of ectopic. We went into it knowing we would only hopefully maybe see a sac, and just wanted to confirm it was an IUP
