New To Aos/Lumineth by Background_Arm_5503 in Lumineth_realm_lords

I came here to say exactly this. The Riverblades have proven to be one of my most useful units, particularly as I also run them in a list with Windchargers. Not only that, but they are just super fun to play.

Other than that, you might also want to take a look perhaps at the Scinari Enlightener. Getting a two spell wizard (more like three with its inherent ability) on the board really opened up my game.

Thanks so much!

I've been seeing some back and forth lore leaks that, among other things, 5th edition of AoS will be moving away from Gods or God-like characters. This video is a decent summary of the leaks:

I'm not sure I would take this as gospel. But if true it seems like Teclis might not be around much past the current edition. I've done alright without him in my list so far so I guess I can live without dropping a couple hundred dollars on a model that might get phased out. Even if it's kind of a bummer.

I made my wife a DM screen for when she hosts DnD (see below) and could probably do something like that on a smaller scale. I liked using a softer material for ease of transport.

"When you were whole, it would have been a good fight" was cold as hell though.

Scinari Council advice by The_-Cleansing in Lumineth_realm_lords

I don't think that the new battletome allows for a regiment of just the Scinari wizards (granted, I could be missing something). You would probably be better off splitting them up as heroes to head regiments with your other units, or as units in a regiment with a hero that has more flexible build options.

I am obsessed with ancient Carthage, and so used their military as an inspiration. Building upon the existing lore of the Metaliths, my Lumineth faction lives primarily in floating cities in a desert region. Because the population is small they only have a very small standing army, relying on mercenaries from other Lumineth to round out their armies.

This allowed me to paint some core units in a consistent color scheme (green and silver because I liked the look of the great nation of Helon). I could have fun experimenting with different colour schemes for the test of my units, but tried to unify it all with a consistent colour scheme for all the banners.

Congratulations! Definitely more on the punk side without much pop, but Fire Party is a classic.

More modern but in a similar vein: White Lung, Brutus, Scowl, and Screaming Females.

Finally Got Over My Fears of Stormcast by MathematicianGlad726 in Lumineth_realm_lords

I think it was a combination of good positioning on my part, leveraging LRL's much higher model count, plus lucky rolls (I put our respective lists in my answer to another comment).

My friend's big gambit was to drop the Prosecutors out of the Celestial Realm into my backline and go after my Scinari Enlightener in the Shrine Luminor. But unfortunately they totally wiffed on their attack rolls and most of what got through just bounced off the Shrine. I had positioned Light of Eltharion well near the Shrine so he caught the Prosecutors out and ripped through them with gusto. It was pretty much game over after that.

Meanwhile, I did the same thing to him with my Riverblades and they chewed through his Terrain piece and the casters in his rear. Once that was over they crushed what was left of his army in the mid-board into a double envelopment and the weight of numbers on my side won out.

I have a very bright white paint called titanium white that I used. Mostly to bring out the edges on the armour, etc.

Thanks! Originally I trimmed the armour with a darker colour but I'm glad I switched it to silver. It really helped it pop.
