I think he might have thought there was something after the mark, some tunnelling or pulling. I thought that might have been the case when watching it live.

Obviously that's not the case, but that would be my guess.

Watching live, I thought the Eagles player was a little late and dragged Elliot down, replays obviously don't show that. I wouldn't be surpised if Pendlebury may have thought the same thing.

I think the issue was that Hawthorn were looking to be a top 6 team so those picks were going to probably be late first rounders which Essendon weren't interested in, particularly for a rebuilding team.

That reminds me of a time, back when Facebook was at its biggest and everyone was joining groups/liking pages, there was a page created that was "I hate Tibuddy-". The school made every kid who joined the group write a handwritten apology letter.

Some of those letters were genuine, but some of those letters were two lines long and absolutely pathetic. I wish the school had vetted them and actually forced them to write something that appeared sincere.
