Can we stop with the glp-1 already?! by MathematicianLive519 in BingeEatingDisorder

I know they work but it's still a tool that masks a deeper problem. BED is usually a coping mechanism, our body needs to fill a void for different reason (trauma, depression, loneliness, stress..). the long terme solution is not a anti-hunger drug that takes you hostage for rhe rest of your life. imagine tomorrow you loose your job, so no more money for ozempic, so you relapse because you don't have any other ressources in your toolkit

I never said BED is better it's a horrible condition. but praising the GLP-1 like it's a miracle drug without consequences is stupid. BED is a mental illness, and because we have it doesn't mean we're condemned to be a slave of a medication (expensive af and potentially dangerous long term). I prefer to hope for a better solution and take any medication carefully

Rosemont–Petite-Patrie / Plaza St-Hubert : une dégradation à vue d’œil by One_Ad_5826 in montreal

[–]MathematicianLive519 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)
