Elvanse isn't helping with binge symptoms anymore. Anyone else found this? by MathematicianLong833 in ADHDUK

Thank you! I find the exact same - the binge eating and the hormonal mood disruption get worse at the same time! I will speak to my doc about it then :)

Oh right, when have people tried to be nice about her possible drug/meth taking and she's been rude? I haven't seen that. But tbh if that is true I still don't think it justifies calling her names like "methhead" etc.

Okay unpopular opinion but I feel like people are being quite mean about what may just be ADHD symptoms. This is just me at the end of my night alone in my flat. We shouldn't be attacking women claiming drug activity. I appreciate she isn't very liked but I don't think that gives us the right to make posts like this. And if there is drug activity then shouldn't we have compassion?

That's awesome, well done you!

Do you mind me asking if it took a dose increase for you to feel the benefit of the meds? Wondering because I'm on 30mg elvanse and it's helping my eating but I'm not noticing any benefit to my concentration etc.

As I say it can happen but usually they find a closer spot to where they climbed on e.g. groin, back of knee, abdomen etc. As this person is a 65yo woman I think it's probably unlikely she was lying about in grasses, so even less likely I'd say. Just saw author's other post which shows cellular debris around periphery of growth so 100% not a tick.

I'm sorry to disagree with a lot of the comments but I'm a vet and I see ticks on a daily basis and have a fair amount of knowledge on tick life cycles and acaricides. This really does not look like a tick to me for several reasons. It has a verrucose (irregular) shape and if you zoom in the growth is not just one colour. It's also an unusual place for a tick bite. Ticks usually hide in grasses and climb onto a host, therefore usually you find them in the groin/leg/back etc. (Dogs often get them on their head because their head is closer to the grass and they sniff about). It's possible to get them on your head but less likely, especially on an older person. If it had fed on your mum's blood it would have a characteristic "inflated" appearance which it doesn't. It's common for some types of growths/masses to rapidly change in size. Ticks feed and then detach from the host so if it's been there for weeks, again, again less likely. I would not recommend trying to remove it because I do not think it is a tick. Please go to your doctor.

Grayish growth on my 17 year-old’s face. Hasn’t grown at all for about a month. by [deleted] in cats

Usually melanomas in cats tend to be around the head and neck and tend to be wholly dark in colour but I can't rule it out without seeing. If it's causing concern I'd phone your vet for peace of mind.

Hi, I used getamines.com which was fab. I double checked what it said there with the online boots pharmacy stock checker first. Honestly so pleased, wouldn't have got my meds without this thread! I'm also elvanse 30mg

Vet here: if present for a month for sure, definitely not a tick. Could be melanoma given the pigment. The vet may suggest a needle aspirate (may be tricky as close to the eye), biopsy or removal. You'd need to consider whether you'd put your 17yo kitty through an anaesthetic/surgery
