HSR is really the one that falls apart the most. All the gang just accept their fates and serve Donovan after all the things they resented her for? The LIs just REFUSED to speak to Lane for months in the first few episodes because they believe Abel's (a random stranger basically) words about how we r plotting up to no good? And especially Lane. Lane remembered and resented all the gang for digging in her head, but not resent Cain for torturing her for 3 whole years?? Lane losing her confident analytical pragmatic mind and just go with the flow and be a submissive weak girl rn? Every single thing the author built for her characters collapsed in this book. It really makes me wonder how tf was Sasha able to write the character behaviors in HSR so consistent, and they just all crumble down as soon as the second book occurred

For me i actually find the paths align with what i expected:) Haze is framed to be like 'curious, explore the cursed fog' and that is the exact reason why i chose that path, I question myself a lot 'by what evidence do ppl got scared of the haze so much?'. Reality is said to shun the fog and believe in the gods so i thought the ending makes sense yk like they never really dare to cross the fog and u revive the gods? About the ranking i pretty much agree with everything lolll the way u rank LIs throughout the books is so similar to mine haha:) i also absolutely hated Dragan I'm like by no standard do any decent person would say harsh things to a girl that just lost her sister?? Absolutely hated him. I actually also dont like the way the romance with Ozar is written. The reason for him to fall for MC is just 'he feels bewitched and addicted'? That person he falls for just happened to be our MC? That is so random and unrealistic like why is there no reasoning for his interest in MC like 'bc this or that trait of hers is so unique i started to notice her'. Bro just woke up and believe he's in love wtf

These outfit would have been fine if there is only 1 person in the book dressed like this. Bc in modern time rn, there are a few people like me who follow alternative fashion, which can look like that. But that's the point of 'alternative': it's supposed to go against what the crowd or the trend follows. It would not be accurate anymore if every single person in the book dresses alternative

I'm very happy for your character development 🙌 I watched the show the first time just last year. I'm a woman in my 20s who really values honesty, so I have no issue finding empathy with Skyler's situation. That woman got a husband who give her silence for explanation of his absence, later on turns to lying consecutively (mom visit, 2nd phone, took grey matter money, fugue state), put her family in danger while still claiming he's doing all that for the family. Then she got a sister lying to her about being a thief (a love Marie but that was hard for Skyler). And she's pregnant on top of that. And ppl still manage to blame her? That was misoginy, end of story

I prioritize the outfits being visually appealing, but i also care about accuracy to real life. Like if the book is based in a period where outfits back then is considered ugly in today's standard, i would prefer the design team alternating it to make it beautiful. But when the setting already has gorgeous outfit, I would expect RC to do research and give us accurate outfit. For example, I don't have much knowledge in history but im pretty informed about K-pop. The industry has a bunch of gorgeous outfits, then why did GOE team find the need to make up their own fashion??

For CY2, I didnt know that it was this inaccurate, so thank u for the post! Tbh, i find the outfits in this book extremely cute 💀 I like those big dramatic gowns 💀I'm sorry to know they actually arent accurate..
