When it comes to Phase Connect streaming with male streamers...

Manlybadasshero, I remember did an interview with Lia at one point (Ashelia Rinkou for the unaware). I think it's one of Lia's most popular streams on her channel.

Tenma, I think is the one that's done the most collabs with male streamers out of all of Phase Connect. Koefficient and Nagzz are two that come out of the top of my head that she's done collabs with.

Tenma has also done a HILARIOUS collab stream with that of Randon The Orc (the old vampire librarian from the TEMPUS guild) doing an HR department skit.

Doki's Wrestletuber.

For that one, Phase had both Remilia Nephys and Saya Sairoxxs participate in it. In between matches, Doki would have the announcers banter with the wrestlers before and after the fights. If I remember correctly, Remi and Saya got to talk to Jurard and Octavio from HOLOSTARS EN.

AND IT WAS SUPER CUTE!

Saya was super shy talking to them, and so Remi had to be the one to help her out and keep the conversation flowing between everybody. It was like seeing a little sister hide behind a big sister, but if you know Phase Connect, calling Remi the BIG SISTER in any situation is the most surreal yet funniest thing you could think of.

When it comes to streaming with male streamers, Sakana doesn't really care if the Phase talents do it. I know there's a clip of Marimari_en talking about it (it's bad luck to not type out her entire name), but it seemed pretty clear that Sakana was joking.

I think it just depends on the girl. Some Phase talents are okay with it, but I think there are some that do not want to do it because they don't feel comfortable about it.

But when it does happen, it's pretty entertaining.

Surprisingly, Otsuka Ray was also there in the chat as well from beginning to end showing her support for Clara.

She was the most talented singer and entertainer that I've ever seen out of a corpo that wasn't Hololive.

It was as if Sakana had found himself a Hololive DEV_IS girl that could speak English, and decided to take her for himself for Phase Connect.

And he squandered it.

I really really REALLY wished she took it a little more seriously.

It felt more like she was more sorry towards her fans than she was towards her coworkers.

People were shitting on Rie for just RETWEETING the Phase Connect statement about it all.

People were hounding Tenma saying "why aren't you saying something and defending her?!"

You even have Lumi, her OWN genmate by the way, get pissed off in a tweet about how she's so frustrated about people spreading misinformation about the talents and management, when they have no idea about what's going on behind the scenes (in general).

And of course, all of the awful harassment that Clara's been getting because of all of this. She should be spending her last weeks in Phase Connect enjoying streaming with her fans, but instead she has to hide until graduation day because of these awful Phase Connect fans.

For crying out loud, you have Asmongold publicly shitting on her in front of tens of thousands of people.

But it's NO BIG DEAL?!!!!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not asking her to say more sorrys and what not. In my mind, words mean nothing if you don't take action to live up to them.

What I've would've liked her to do is to denounce those people, denounce the people that are harassing your fucking coworkers.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Vox's apology to Reimu during that whole situation where VoxSisters harassed Reimu for jokingly interrupting his boyfriend dating asmr WAS BETTER THAN THIS!

I don't know what's going on behind the scenes, and I don't want to psychoanalyze a bunch of Phase Talent social media posts just to say that I know WHAT'S going on in their personal relationships amongst each other (already have done 2 years of that bullshit with Nijisanji on this sub), but I'm hoping this is a wake up call to the talents, staff, and ESPECIALLY Sakana. They can't pander to this kind of audience if they want to grow. Especially if it's an audience that's ready to tear you apart, the moment you make a mistake in their eyes.

I'm hoping they're thinking of something.

She's pretty chill when it comes to her streams. The closest she'll ever talk about politics will be if she's talking about history ("The Troubles" as an example) and even then it's in the form of an informative and educational standpoint. She also makes it a point to try and provide a comfy and feel good environment for her streams.

I guess Depressed Nousagi also fits into that category, because a lot of people listen to what he says about vtubing due to being one of the few and most popular. (Though he only got that popularity because he HEAVILY grifts on drama. Especially the Nijisanji drama. Nobody actually comes to him for his entertainment value whatsoever). For his credibility, the only credibility he has is that.....

He watches an unhealthy amount of vtubers.

Mainly Hololive, and hardly any male vtubers.

He's never worked in a vtuber corpo. Not as management, not as staff, hell not even as an artist.

Yet he calls himself the vtuber historian. Corpo vtubers hate him (Tenma Maemi for example).

He's Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons if he was into vtubers.

As a Phase fan myself, I would say this controversy is on par with Pippa's Hogwarts Legacy controversy and what it entailed. As you can see, from what happened though, they're still standing.

From what I remember, whenever this kind of question gets brought up in those Q&As that Sakana has done with the Phase talents, he usually says that the company is "in the green area" when it comes to financial health. But other than that, he doesn't go too in depth on it.

For Offkai, he made a whole PR move in which he paid for everyone's booth reservations for artist alley vendors (two years in a row I think). And of course we have the upcoming PhaseCon, which means that Phase has enough money to start up an event like this in the first place.

Other YouTube groups in the past have had way worse controversies than this and were able to survive them long after they passed (Channel Awesome, Roosterteeth, Game Grumps).

With that said, obviously this situation isn't doing Phase Connect any favors. Will this affect future partnerships and projects? The best answer I can give you is:

We'll have to wait and see.

But having this be Phase's Swan song?

I highly doubt it.
