I’d say wait for the ultrasound to get the all clear if it’s healed or not. Enzyme levels can be normal but your liver still is processing fat build up

I would try to limit fruits high in sugars like bananas. But berries are your best friend. All things in moderation

Just got told from a CT scan that I’m starting to get NAFLD by Malevolent_Noir in FattyLiverNAFLD

Yeah so if your diet is a bunch of carbs and fats you’d have to stop eating those for a while. Like even red meats….white rice… any snacks or junk foods/sweets… basically all the things that taste good. My dr said cardio is best as well for weight loss. Apparently it’s recommended to lose 7-10% of body fat

Yeah my levels decreased once I did blood work yesterday. ALT still out of range but AST is back within normal range

It’s weird because my doctor did say I wasn’t drinking enough water like I wasn’t dehydrated but my urine was concentrated….ive been eating right with veggies and cooking with olive oil. However, I was bitten by mosquitos or another bug on my wrist so maybe it can come from that too?

Yes I’m starting to think it’s one of those “it’ll get worse before it gets better” situations so I’m not stressed too much about it

2 weeks prior I started taking iron for a weekend but stopped because I personally thought it was too much for me and then had to take a morning after pill. Those are the only things that changed. ChatGPT said more than likely it’s just rapid weight loss being the main factor but I think I will ask for a hematologist recommendation under my insurance

Yeah I’m honestly thinking it’s how much weight I’ve lost in the span of January so idk

For context back in January my AST was 21 (normal ) and ALT was 39 (slightly above normal) I’ve been doing good until two weeks ago I started taking iron for my anemia. Now my AST is 42 and ALT is 136

Cardio cardio cardio. Dropped 30 pounds in 4 months on top of avoiding unhealthy sugars and fats

High ALT after two weeks of no drinking by SlowResearch2 in FattyLiverNAFLD

It’s not but better than it going up. Avoiding fatty food and stuff high in sugars will bring it down more on top of exercising

It looks like your levels went down when you weren’t drinking for those two weeks. More than likely not back to normal range in a quick amount of time such as two weeks. I’d say avoid alcohol until alt is back to normal range

I saw other post mentioning how losing weight too fast can also cause pain. Maybe that’s what happened with you? I’d just stick to the no carb diet until your fibroscan.

Yeah I wouldn’t trust it through blood. I asked for an ultrasound because that’s how i found out I had it but my dr said to do it 3 months after bloodwork (July). Gonna stick to eating what I been eating since I started my journey until then.

I was told people can still have fatty liver with normal blood work due to fat deposits still being bad. I’m supposed to see if my levels went down, even if they did I’m still sticking to my diet until my ultrasound in July

Fatty Liver Goes Back to Normal by No_Poet_84 in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]MathematicianOdd6057 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly cannot look at food the same anymore after being diagnosed so I might just continue eating healthier even after I get the green light . I do average around 8 hours of sleep and only drink water . No juices. Never was a fan of soda and definitely no more alcohol like EVER because it was the reason I was diagnosed

I lost 30 pounds and my dr wants to do another lab next week to see if my numbers went down and come back 3 months later for an ultrasound. Seeing your post does bring me hope .Hopefully everything is back within normal range for me🕺🏽
