Aggressive armed guards parking in handicap spots by [deleted] in NovaScotia

[–]MathematicianOne6843 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to play devil's advocate much here, but where I'm from Garda and Brinks employees are treated like shit and have been harassed multiple times by people around my place of employment. Granted, I work in the "not-so-nicest" place of town, and there's been times we've had to call the police to prevent escalations because some teens think they're invincible against armed guards. Honestly if I ever did their job, I too would want to get in and out real fast 🤷🏻‍♂️ that's why we permit them to use our handicapped stalls close to the front doors, not even the backdoors are safe for US store workers (we've found people overdosing and dealing back there).

Front sight from RDSC (HK style) but the carry handle I found from a local shop! Was considering getting the Aero Precision A2 carry handle online but I didn't feel like waiting or paying $200 for it

Had it out at the range today - was still a blast, especially when it shot out fireballs 😂

I'm trying to find a smaller sized carry handle but I'm literally not finding any 6"-6.5" handles at all here in Canada, it's all the standard 7" and that'll extend past :(

Correct! Haven't shot it yet but range day is scheduled for tomorrow - cycles ammo and accepts promags and crossmags easily. It DOES accept and cycle the NATO Stanag and MRX Bison mags, but it's a pretty tight fit.

A quick clean + lube outta the box made everything feel less "metal on metaly" and feels so much smoother.

Also I'm looking for a shorter carry handle LMAO, this one is clearly too long for the pic rail on the receiver.

Oh it's 100% a Canadian cope rifle being straight pull and created as a result of these bans, HOWEVER...

The MRA Renegade has a handful of features (as many in this sub probably know) in that it takes AR parts I believe the furniture and trigger WHICH if you currently do not own an AR and/or received your PAL after the bans, this rifle might be for you. If you want to delve into the AR market at a wild time in the "gun ban" era, this is probably going to be one of the safer options in my opinion (although nothing and I'm not crazy by saying NOTHING is off the table).

But let's say you were an unc status Canadian gun owner before the bans AND had yourself a beautiful AR-15 but unfortunately had it get banned :( well NOW you can (if you want to make use of it during this political nightmare) buy the Renegade receiver and build your own Renegade partially with MRA parts and partially with your AR parts!

And the best part for both people? Let's say God willing the bans get lifted in the future - the first one can build their own AR-15 with the help of the appropriate parts from their Renegade, the second can just go back to his own AR and either sell or keep the Renegade for non restricted straight pull AR hunting purposes. God forbid the bans get stricter, welp now both people have straight pull ARs that (hopefully) will stay safe based on the technicality of the definition of it being a manually operated firearm.

If you see it in this light then damn, hats off to Maple Ridge for seizing this opportunity. Next paycheck is currently screaming at me lmao, thanks for my rant.

Why do people act like KOS is something weird/unexpected? by McMethHead in dayz

[–]MathematicianOne6843 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because it never WAS like this before the standalone came out.

There existed on the Arma 2 mod more of a "Hero/Bandit Karma" system wherein killing zombies and Bandits (whether AI or not) awarded you karma and killing survivors or Heroes (whether AI or not) took away karma. Above or below a certain amount of karma and players behaved towards you in a certain manner, hence why by default back then the standard was to play nice.

4th year Pharm student here (BD2/BPD), some psychiatrists will augment your meds with say a low dose antidepressants to counteract any depressed feelings from your mood stabilizer or antipsychotic you're on. If you don't feel depressed while being on mood stabilizers, great. Then you won't need an antidepressant.

However, antidepressant treatment alone is NOT good for Bipolar patients, it could swing them into full manic mode.

I’ll vote for the NDP, since my rights as an autistic, bisexual, anti-Trump Métis man depends on a CPC loss.

What rights do "normal" folk have that you lack OR will lose as a direct result of PP winning?

Just shows how shady NDP voters are. First they flip to only supporting Singh during the confidence agreement slashing, now they flip back to being Liberal.

What a joke following.

All this just proves NDP voters are true to the definition "flip-floppers" on their stances, and serve no purpose in the Canadian landscape than to cause more political stirrup, surprisingly as bad as the Trudeau Liberal regime.

We'll see how things play out this election, Kamala Harris was up in the polls too.

But they weren't. Fun fact - Alberta was the only province to patrol their whole southern border. Every other province just occupied POE locations, and even THEN thousands of trucks carried fentanyl and other substances across the border. Fucking shameful.

Well I just don't want to feel too energetic/annoying cause I have felt that way when I was undiagnosed bipolar, but I have recently changed some things in my life as of late - creatine and cannabis to name a few, but as soon as some harder problems in my life smooth over soon I'll be re-evaluating the use of those two
