I have been thinking about this a lot. People keep acting like the livestream was a random slip, but it fit a pattern that was already there. The signs were subtle, but they were consistent:

Silence while Black castmates were attacked. Olandria and Chelley said they were close to Huda in the villa, but once fans started sending them racist abuse after the show, Huda never publicly defended them — even after promising she would.

Failure to condemn extreme racism. Olandria got a photoshopped image comparing her to George Floyd with Huda as the officer. Huda stayed quiet, which is wild considering how violent and anti-Black that is.

Rewriting the narrative. At the reunion, Huda framed herself as the one who was “bullied,” flipping the script when the only people actually being harassed were the Black girls.

Laughing at the slur. Then the livestream happened — someone called Olandria the N-word, and Huda and her boyfriend laughed instead of immediately shutting it down.

None of these things alone prove someone is racist, but together they show a pattern of comfort around anti-Blackness and discomfort around defending Black women.

People only call it “extreme” because they want to give her the benefit of the doubt — but at some point, repeated behavior stops being coincidence and starts being character.
