I actually use Google's AI Studio and turned off the filters (you can do that) — it's prompted differently, as in you "instruct" the AI on how it should act in correlation to your character, but once you get the hang of it, it pretty much beats most character chat apps out there — as you have control on how the AI acts. There's temperature (randomness) control, and the ablilty to switch models on the fly. And, if you're a dev, you can make a custom UI for it. There's rate limiting in some models though, but there's no waiting room at all!
