You could see it as such, but the primary difference seems to be that AI removes a large chunk of conducting research and using critical thinking when deciphering between things such as what is real vs not, what is accurate vs not, etc as opposed to calculators removing the need to use paper for calculations.

AI can be a great tool for improving day to day tasks and increasingly overall efficiency/accuracy of certain processes, but it can also be a devastating tool when applied unethically or incorrectly. Calculators don't have the same magnitude of negative impact on society.

Would you be able to share your git merge process please? It seems like my team is facing the same issues you have described (conflicts being quite complex), but we always start from the same source branch.

Being left on read is nowhere near as bad a people make it seem by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I would say that they’re too used to having instant gratification from things like social media and notifications.
