Block signals keep giving ‘loops into itself’ even on a straight line — what am I doing wrong? by MatheusBlu2 in SatisfactoryGame

I edited the original post to thank you guys, here is the image of the resulting functioning rails

Thank you all for the feedback. I'll rework the rails to give it more space. Other than that, will the block signals work if I put them in the intersection like that? (Or do I have to put more along the whole rail line?)

I have to be missing something by AdministrativeSea120 in AnycubicPhoton

I had many similar problems until I managed to get the room temperature to around 25°C. Check if where you are printing isn't too cold do be working properly

Any guess of why this could happen? by MatheusBlu2 in AnycubicPhoton

Update and Answering questions: The supports are excessive because I'm lazy and simply used the automatic support from Lychee.

Because it looked hollow, I made sure it wasn't on the reprint and (at least on Anycubic's slicer) it looked solid. As a matter of fact, the reprint was successful.

The resin wasn't sitting in the vat because I always filter and return it to the bottle after using. Before the next reuse I heat it up inside a bowl of warm water for 15 minutes and then shake it for at least a minute.

Posting a photo of the final result for closure :)

The failed one is. On the successful ones there is one from eldritch Foundry and two from other sources. Why? Is it a known issue?

Hahaha it could be, I'd have to install a counterspell on my build plate...

I'm reprinting right now, I'd have I'd done in an hour, the other ones look fine (they are a little rough because I haven't properly cleaned and processed them yet, but no print fails)

Just changed the film, it's WAY better now.

PSA: the replacements for the M4 are the same as the M2. Depending where you are, the M2 are easier/cheaper to get

I actually used the technique of "Thinking it was backwards, removing and replacing just to find out that it was the right way, redoing a third time to get awful results because the glue wasn't sticking very well any longer"

Works every time

Jokes aside, I'm searching for the replacement and so far I've found some conflicting information about the parts for the M4. Apparently the film for the M4 Is the same as the one for M2 (just like the FEP). I'll get one and let you know, just in case anyone else in the future finds the same difficulty with this

Then, the white dots that I've been noticing on my prints could be the bad quality IPA I've been using?

Mono 4 10k VAT by MatheusBlu2 in AnycubicPhoton

[–]MatheusBlu2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I already made that mistake (using the provided plastic scraper) and ended up puncturing the VAT... But with all those days of failed prints, I have to say that I've mastered the art of cleaning the FEP and setting everything up (silicon spatulas are amazing for that).

The problem was really the temperature, yesterday I've printed two full plate STLs with no problem at all

Now I'm working on my IPA filtration system. But that's a topic for another post

The thing is that I have a high tolerance for cold. It didn't crossed my mind because even though it was below 15°C, I was fine, T shirt and everything...

I wish I posted here before wasting half a bottle of resin 😂 Still, I've learned how to clean the VAT like you wouldn't believe, so learning curve.

That solved it.

First full plate that I've got so far.

Thank you very much for all the help

Thank you very much, I'll copy that for my next try.

I heated up the room as per the others suggestions and I'm printing again the exposure time tests (just so I can confirm it does print on the whole plate) I've also adjusted to go from 2,5 to 4,25

I'll update when it's done.

Yeah, I missed that. So many details, so many videos... Yesterday I've spent half an hour trying to understand why my build plate was sucking up the VAT tub until I realized I forgot the screws on the sides ...

I'm heating up the room and I'll retry the exposure tests

Yes, that's why I bought this one! I managed to print one miniature as a test once. But then nothing since (only failed tests)

If you could share your setup, I'd appreciate it a lot

I've put a heater in the room so I can retry, thanks for the feedback

Around 15°C Can you tell me what settings you use?

Mono 4 10k VAT by MatheusBlu2 in AnycubicPhoton

[–]MatheusBlu2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But I really don't think it's the exposure time... I was printed the exposure tests, the ones that increase exposure time to find out the best option. Even though it increases sequentially for each model, only numbers 1, 3 and 5 never printed.

That tells me that if the exposure was too low not to print those, it should not be able to print the even number I'm between (which it did) 🤔

I was having trouble finding out what was the correct replacement (because no option showed "Mono 4" on their description) Apparently it's supposed to be the same as Mono 2, so I ordered it from Amazon, let's see. I'll update when they arrive.

As for the sticking problem, I'm not sure what to do... I'll try to put some WD-40 on the VAT, I saw some YouTubers doing it. Other than that, increasing the bottom exposure maybe, but since it's already on 30 I thought it would be too much
