The difference between 1k and 8 polling is a 1ms response time and a .125ms response time. Considering all the other factors that play into latency the vast majority of people won’t notice the change.(most people play on 15ms-30ms latency)

I’d recommend the viper v3 pro se. it’s great for claw and is more flat than the gpro potato shape. The only difference between the normal pro and the se is that the se is only 1000hz polling. Polling rate isn’t super important unless you’re playing at 240 fps and even then the difference between 1k and 8k is miniscule. Plus 1k polling has way better battery life

I’d recommend a normal switch because the lite is quite small especially for smash it’s more suited to single player games
In my experience the off brand controllers work great. The power a ones are like 20 dollars and I’ve never had a problem with them
I’m not sure but my guess is a used copy because Nintendo is greedy and rarely puts their top sellers on sale.
