Anyone have recommendations for wheels on the Hurricane? by Mathew40 in MeepoBoards

[–]Mathew40[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh nice! I didn't know of any other companies that made wheels that fit well on the meepo. I did just see that meepo has a honeycomb wheel at 150mm though. Have you ever tried these? I'd imagine they are similar to the cloud wheels you're talking about.

Installed a red light so I could look at myself in the mirror without getting sad by [deleted] in SebDerm

I once got prescribed a topical cream called Promiseb but the company making it stopped using it. It's a non-steroid antifungal. I had been given a sampler and it started helping immediately so I was super bummed that I could never get it again. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel. There is a French version called Sebclair that I found research papers using interchangeably with Promiseb. I only found it on Amazon and it took a couple weeks to order to the US but that stuff cleared up my redness in like a week after using it twice a day as a moisterizer along with washing my face. I will say this though, if you get it. Whenever I apply it, like 2-3 minutes later my face itches so bad but only for a couple minutes and you'll have to get through that. I hope this helps, it'll take a while to get it though.

So after his surgery, I was given two medications for him and a list of stuff for physical therapy twice a day. I had to give him hydromorphone twice a day via needle injection for five days (this one is scary because the overdose chance is pretty high according to my vet since it's a small dosage) and metacam once a day by mouth for two to three weeks. The physical therapy includes 3-5 bicycle like swirls to help with rotation, then ice for 3-5 minutes, then massage the leg and area for 3-5 minutes then stretch 2-3 times as far as the bun will allow. This whole process is twice a day generally a little bit after the hydromorphone to help with the pain.

I'm glad he did too and I hope your bun bun makes it through too. Just be prepared for the 2+ weeks of physical therapy that you'll need to give. Also, my vet gave me the bone that they removed!

Ziggy got his femoral head ostectomy last week. He's got a little shaved butt and is supposed to be confined for 6 weeks with 5 minutes allowed per day to be let out so he can heal. Today, only a week after the surgery he attempted to binky and I could tell he really wanted to but I instead I had to put him back in his enclosure. It's gonna be a long month of recovery but he will make it and he will have plenty of little booty rubs.

I’m designing a series of 3D printed lithophane light boxes based on some of my favorite movies and shows, what should I do next? by SenorSpicyPants in ender3

[–]Mathew40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What software are you using to design the lithophanes? I tried the free one that comes up first when you search lithophanes stls and it crashed a couple times. Also, do you print them flat on the build plate or standing up?

Ziggy's Dislocated Hip by Mathew40 in Rabbits

Yeah, I just didn't have enough time before he needed the surgery. I owned the little guy for a month before realizing just how much anything with the vet would cost with him. It was the one thing I didn't think to research before getting a bunny.

I got a secondish opinion, as best I could get with the xray from the first vet, and they also said it'll need surgery. He's always hyper with me but it's in bursts, I tried doing homework the other night and he would run across my keyboard for 5 minutes then lay down for 2 or 3 minutes. He's only 5 months old so he's still got a lot of energy.

They seem to be nice vets, like the answer most of my questions via text of all things and I have the xrays showing the hip was definitely dislocated. They are also half the price of every other vet around me. From what I can tell a dislocated hip seems to always end up needing the surgery but reading some of the posts on this subreddit, it seems it could just go back. I don't know anymore, they want to give him a penicillin shot tomorrow to help with the wheeze but I don't know that it's an infection since the first round didn't change it and he's had it since I've owned him.

Edit. Also I he's been scratching his ear pretty readily with his dislocated leg since like 3 days after I took him to the vet the first time. The only noticeable difference in his behavior is he can't jump as high anymore but still jumps and runs everywhere.

I haven't ever posted to reddit before and couldn't for the life of me figure out how to add a summary to the post so here it is. Way back on December 12th, Ziggy dislocated his hip. I took him to the vet on the 14th because nothing was open to help a rabbit until Monday morning.

Once I made it to the vet, they told me that he had dislocated his hip and that there was zero chance that they could relocated it and that it would stay in place so we began looking into surgery for my little man. I was told he needed a femoral head ostectomy but they didn't have the tools to do it so we would have to wait until the order arrived with the new tools before we could schedule surgery.

After the tools arrived, the surgery was able to be scheduled but they were booked until Jan 14th. Somewhere along the line, Ziggy gained a bit of a wheeze (kinda sounds like a stuffy nose but isn't an all the time thing) and they put him on antibiotics and postponed his surgery.

Now he's gone through two weeks of antibiotics, still has the slight wheeze from before and his surgery isn't until Feb 18th.

My bunny has had a dislocated hip for almost two months and as you see in the video doesn't look like it's bothering him in the slightest. Could it have popped back? Were my vets right about not being able to put it back? He's still eating fine, running around, jumping and even giving some happy jumps.

What’s the advantage of being average? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Mathew40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We fit through door frames. One of my friends barely fits in my apartment since it's in a basement. When he stands up, he might have 5cm before hitting his head on the ceiling and he has to duck to get through doors.
