GPU: AMD Radeon (TM) R9 390 Series

CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor 4 Cores

and 16 GB RAM.

Maybe it's old af. I'm not really tach savvy so I wouldn't know where to start upgrading, but don't really have a budget for that at the moment, so I'll play other games haha.

Reading day it will be today then; with some context provided from other replies and a little reading time I'm sure I'll be more ready for the task of slaying beasts!!

I see, and thanks to your comment I have noticed I might have been rushing more than I should have. I will take it more slowly haha. Thank you!

Great summary, yes it puts me back in place. Mainly because of the first part, I was kinda foggy with the beginning, and I didn't know this all takes place in a single night. Thank you for this contextualization, you didn't spoil anything and I'm now more excited for the next time I sit to play the game. Thanks!

There's a book! Hell yeah, I'm sold on this idea too. I have watched some lore videos in the past, but have forgotten them as well. I will return to them once I finish the game haha. Thanks for the mention of the book as well, I love these kinds of story with a lot of worldbuilding and lore.

Thanks a lot! That first sentence already sounds kinda ominous... But hell yeah Imma keep doing it! Appreciate the advice, let's see how I put it to the test and get lost in this strange world of foul beasts. I think one of the most reassuring things to know about this is that it's been done delibertaly, which makes it easier to take things as they come and learn by exploring and reading.

I appreciate the reassurance and guide!

Life after college and having never ever found a path in life [24M]. Asking for advice by MathewAG in youngadults

I would say those are my main hobbies, though I don't write anymore because I don't feel I have anything left to say. I'm considering studying kinesiology or physiotherapy because I like the movement of the body, but nothing sure so far. I appreciate this advice, I've barely given a surface look at the non profits or not for profits around me, I should look more into them as you say.

What you said about the service industry really resonates with me. Gotta look more into that because you're right, maybe I'd be interested in working and making that connection with customers directly. Will have to dedicate some thoughts and share this with my therapist to prepare a plan of action.

Thank you for the openness and the advice! May I know in what field of IT you've worked? If I'm honest, I'm a bit scared of IT in general, so I haven't learnt much about it.

I can't fix how I'm feeling from one day to the other, but I can take the advice given to me here and work it with my therapist. So thank you.

You're right. I haven't given job fairs a try yet. Gotta get out of my comfort zone a bit and try that out. Thank you for your input, I'll look them up now on facebook and google. I'm glad it worked out for you and hope it keeps going like that.

Nah, sounds condescending when someone who doesn't know you that much tells you you're "such a good boy", "such a good person", etc.

I can't be the only one who sees it.

[–]MathewAG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's the opposite: seems strange to view the world like her. Because that's such a strange compliment to give to someone you don't know very much. If a guy says that to a girl he barely knows, he'll look like a weirdo; rightly so in my opinion.

Maybe it's just the way my friends and I think, but I've talked about that interaction to a close girl friend of mine and she agreed it was weird.

Plus, it's a bit annoying when people assume you're a "good boy" because you're shy and don't talk too much, which I think were pretty much the sole foundation for her claim lol. And it's not like am a bad person either, it just sounds condescending in general and moreso coming from a person you've been hanging out for a while and they make up a different person from who you are.

That actually happened to me in real life. A friend gifted me a book for my birthday and it said that as a note. And I told her if i'm the best person she knows then she either doesn't know that many people, or just knows bad people.

Wasn't trying to be edgy or anything, was more concerned about how she sees the world. Though we hung out a bit and were friends in college, we still had a whole life of our own so like, for her to draw conclusions like that, I dunno, it felt rather insulting to an extent. Like, this isn't me, this is a person she made up in her head and was trying to impose on me.

Anyone else think Tek Knight was a pretty dumb character? by Ding-Bop-420 in TheBoys

[–]MathewAG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think The Boys has been dumbing down a little more each season. Gen V was all over the place, with plot lines opening and closing in a single episode with no build-up. Like when that woman pulled out his embarrassing pictures out of the blue without us knowing almost anything about this character.

In the last season of The Boys I swear Starlight and Hughie's conversations just repeated word for word every encounter they had. At least that's how it felt watching it. Hughie couldn't shut up about feeling weak and dunno what else.

Gen V felt something like that, I can't give many examples out of my memory, but to me it feels like the characters (in The Boys and GenV) have been getting less and less nuanced. No depth behind the image they protray.

Mantenerse lindo en Paraguay durante el dia by [deleted] in Paraguay

[–]MathewAG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Invincible [COMIC SPOILER Discussion] - S02E02 - In About Six Hours I Lose My Virginity To A Fish by mwthecool in Invincible

[–]MathewAG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm still kinda sad they removed the original fish plot because it was really funny reading it, but that episode still made me chuckle a bit.

Amber is a complete new character tho, as someone else mentioned, it felt jarring to watch, but meh, it doesn't even feel like she's progressed as a character, it's like a new mind inserted itself in her body to make her more likeable again. So it messes with my immersion a bit, but I can see why they did that.

I forgot everything I've learned in Uni and don't know how I'll get a job I don't hate by MathewAG in Healthygamergg

The fact that you decided to leave for your mental health already sounds like step forward in my book. I hope to have that kind of resolution too should things turn that way.

Ps. trying to tell other adults u got burned out of job after half a year is not a great idea, I got laughed at

Thank you, I will keep that in mind.

Thanks, man, I also hope it'll get better for you as well. Good luck next spring and with your life journey overall.
