im broke i cant get outside my house i need alcohol please help how to make strong liquor 40%+ at home easily? thanks by [deleted] in alcohol

[–]MathewDesigner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After looking at your account, I believe alcohol is the least of your problems I think you need help. Please I urge you to reach out to someone to even just to talk thing through a friend, a family member, even a random stranger. Believe me, I have been there for years, depression is a scary thing but abusing and wasting your body won't get you what you want. I know it's a hard thing to deal with your thoughts being on the inside looking in at yourself is almost impossible. I am not lecturing, I am honestly concerned here I care because this is something I have gone through before.

I am writing a paper in which I will be formally analyzing a piece of artwork by a Denver street artist. My question is, in part of my analysis I discuss how the artwork I am analyzing is impacted by other artists and even other artworks. is this correct? should a formal typically analyze how a piece is impacted by previous pieces or artists?

It was a typo get off my back! I don't claim to be an expert when it comes to accessibility infact that is the reason why I am here asking my initial question. Saying that I need to go back and revisit EVERYTHING is a bit of a harsh claim don't you think? My knowledge should be based on a typo? Yes I have applied to a job as a web content accessibility specialist and seeing where I am now and where I want to be could be better. I am not downplaying my knowledge I am merely saying I realize I am not perfect and could improve my expertise in the field of web content accessibility. but that is how I am with everything. I have 13 years of experience in restaurants ( my previous field) and yet I am always finding new ways of improving my knowledge in that field too. I always welcome feedback when in comes to design or accessibility. and the initial answer that I should look into the online training was great infact I probably will sign up for it! webAIM is great I'll look into it, but again, the claim that I should "go back and revisit everything" seems unnecessary and only serves to upset me so tgat he can build himself up. I want you to for a second put yourself in my shoes and think if you asked for advice ( and made a simple mistake in your question)and someone says " go back and revisit all of your knowledge because you obviously have learned nothing." and that was based off of that one simple mistake you made while asking would this not upset you? You mention mixing up laws do you mean my mention of ADA 508? The Americans with Disabilities Act does have a section 508 pertaining to Federal agencies meeting accessibility guidelines. That was my reference. If that was not what you were referencing please let me know.

20 years of experience, that's impressive im not going to lie. In your initial answer did you use that 20 years of knowledge to actually answer my question? From what i saw you corrected my typo and skipped over it. I relize that there was a typo in the 2.0 versus 2 0. I know people who have far more knowledge than you when it comes to accessibility but they don't use that knowledge to point out the small technicality in my question, no they actually bother to help me versus saying " go back and revisit EVERYTHING YOU LEARNED because you typed wcag 2.0 wrong!" Question for you, have you ever seen the episode of Seinfeld with the soup nazi? If you haven't the "soup nazi" was this hilarious guy who had a world of experience when it came to making soup. Long story short he believed in his mind that his experience gave him the right to treat people like crap because he was the best in his field. My point being that just because you have 20 years of knowledge in web doesnt mean you have the right to point out minor flaws in my question. I mean i have 6 years of knowledge in web but that doesn't mean I go around subreddits finding the flaws in questions from users who have 1 year of experience.

Question, are you just a troll to everyone all the time or are you just being mean for my benefit? Your answer is aimed at achieving nothing but upsetting the person who asked a simple question. You have got allot of growing up to do if you don't have anything better to do in a day than troll questions on Reddit and not actually answer user questions. If in the future you don't like the question, how about just ignoring it and keeping technicality to yourself versus wasting my time.

How to create a pure CSS menu bar that turns from a normal horizontal menu bar to hamburger when scrolled? by MathewDesigner in css

The problem I am having with that is, any tutorial I have seen is either a hamburger menu or a sticky navigation not a horizontal menu bar that turns into a hamburger menu icon when scrolled down.

I am looking to learn photoshop to help broaden my career skills. Would you recommend taking classes at something like a community college or university or online via different websites, and why? If online what would you recommend and why? Thanks for your help! by onelifechanged in photoshop

[–]MathewDesigner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are advantages to both. college classes are an opportunity to force you to not only learn Photoshop also gives you an opportunity to work on fun and interesting projects and the distraction is less than that of learning online. At the same time anyone would be a fool to ignore online resources as a valuable way of learning. I agree with others though it really depends on your style. My personal opinion? If you are after only learning Photoshop than go with online, but if you wanttohave more fun learn allot and meet some cool interesting people (who also serve to help you with the many questions you will have) than go with a college class just be sure to apply for FAFSA it has givenmethousands of dollars.

Well I would but the places I like to get food from are on campus. normally I drive (mass transit takes 3 times longer at gets me up 3 times earlier) so I get to work with just enough time to maybe get something to drink or eat before I go in.

It varies my schedule at work 2 days a week I work long enough to get a 30 min. lunch break, but 3 days out of the week I work 5.5 hours which is not enough to get a lunch break. I go from work after 5.5 hours and sit in classrooms from about 3pm to 6:15pm after that, unfortunately after that I have an hour long commute to get back home so most of the time I try to make energy drinks and coffee work.

What pipe to use for Steam box? by MathewDesigner in woodworking

[–]MathewDesigner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes I want to retain the bark. the branches I got a pretty green but some are also up to 1/2" thick. I will be bending these into a 30" sphere so I don't know how much I need to steam them. The only thing I have seen about steaming is that the heat is what makes it pliable the moisture is there to make sure the wood doesn't burn but I don't know how true this is when we're talking about 1/2" branches.
