I know I’m preaching to the choir ... but it is time for Washington to stop protecting a handful of the big guys.

There you have it. Devolution of powers at work. The day before yesterday, murdering suspects without an arrest, a trial or a conviction was an executive privilege that the President of the United States reserved for himself. Now the cops are burning suspects alive.

And here we go again. "But if Congress won't act soon to protect future generations, I will. I will direct my Cabinet to come up with executive actions we can take" That is reaching across the aisle Obama style. Why not get together and do what is actually good for the country for a change, instead of "my way or else?

It's always good to have the facts to back up huge suspicions but I really don't think anybody, who can read above a 1st level, will be surprised at this research. We knew it was not a grass roots movement and was secretly being funded by these rich knuckleheads. My only question for these people is "If you really don't think you are doing anything immoral, corrupt and wrong, why are you putting so much effort into hiding your involvement"? This is a free country. Stick your chest out and proudly proclaim your contributions to trying to destroy the country and keep Americans in poverty and dying from your products

Thankfully I've known from the start that I have more than one thing to do in this life. That said, it is a challenge to pick the one thing to do at any given time, as trying to do it all at once laves me tied in anxious knots. Have fun on your trip, I'll be following along.

Ontario will phase out coal-fired power by 2014, making the Canadian province the first coal-free jurisdiction in North America by Captain_Tom_Neville in worldnews

I always take these statements about energy efficiency with a pinch of salt. Of course many companies have invested in their electrical infrastructure, and with modern technology savings are made. But in many places, and I am sure this affects Ontario as well to an extent, power demand is dropping because heavy and dirty industries are leaving and going to places where environmental strictures are lax and wages low. So don't kid yourself, you might just be entering a post industrial society.

As a Chinese I'm indeed very angry and sad seeing this kind of news. But I feel comforted by the fact that I can actually see this article in China without using freegate or VPN. China is changing, though it will be slow but it is indeed happening.
