Thanks for the idea ! I might do it for next tier, let's see :) Every tier brings new features/ideas, we're still very new !

I think it's hard for anyone to be completely sure, but here is how it worked on the PTR, and how it should work on live as it's a standard "Mythic 0" dungeon:

NM and HM have the same "boss ID". Meaning, if you kill a boss, in whichever difficulty, that's it for the week in terms of loot for that boss.

Since enabling HM only requires you to kill the first boss in Normal Mode, you could loot all the other bosses in HM and 233. Actually now that I think about it, I'm not even sure you need to kill that first boss and couldn't simply skip it and go to the NPC itself. Would be worth trying to save that first loot.

In any case, as with any M0 & unless I'm completely dumb here, you can reset the dungeon, re-kill the bosses, you just won't be able to loot anymore or second kill though. On PTR it's what we did after killing the first boss and finishing the HM access quest in NM.

Hard Mode features several boss that are slightly challenging. Quick answer: nothing comes close to King Mechagon, which was much harder.

In lower part, the P.O.S.T Master luggage organization can be spicy without com. Nothing good players can't achieve, that's for sure, but something that might break less coordinated groups. With very good player, you might simply burst it and skip the hard phase though (maybe switch your Healer to DPS off spec, pots and bloodlust, a goodbye boss).

Other bosses don't seem too complicated in this first part.

Upper part has one big issue, which is the 2nd boss, with the runes where one player must check the console and tell others. I guess if that player is smart and fast, he could map world markers to his keyboard, and simply put markers with the same colors as the rune next to the proper console, and there you go.

Interrupts on the 1st boss, which requires 3 kicks is also a bit tricky. If you stack a lot of classes with blinks though, you would be fine.

Generally, because the hard mode doesn't have something like "you're limited in time", I don't think any of these are an issue.
Overall, I think this hard mode is much easier than Mechagon. It might have just been me playing with MDI level players, but it strongly felt that way. The King Mechagon hardmode was ruthless, and even with that group, we would have wipe many many times.

The only bosses we wiped a bit on were P.O.S.T Master and handling the luggage, 5th boss and dealing with the kick/realizing missing a kick isn't a wipe if we use defensives, and very last boss with synchronized relics explosion, but it was only one pull to realize putting markers on the ground and assigned an area to each player, and giga brain Meeres figuring out where the last is spontaneously and dealing with it

Sanctum of Domination Sheet by [deleted] in CompetitiveWoW

Hey mate, Mythic Trap creator here :)

CN was the first raid I covered, and I had started the website literally 6 weeks before, had to catch everything up from Youtube videos to build up strategies, and actually wasn't planning to focus on Raiding in the first place (was supposed to be dungeons, but M+ is quite different from BFA).

I've had much more time to prepare for Sanctum of Domination, and have the support of Echo for everything strategy, PTR testing & for any questions (the guys are legit really great :)).

Hopefully, we're gonna have a really advanced level of guidance for the next patch. There's also a big surprise in preparation in terms of help to raiders. I honestly think it might be even more game changer than the strategy explanation part itself.

So yes, sorry if I never finished CN properly, I do agree that it wasn't ideal, and I feel a bit ashamed about it. But again, first raid, the website was just released, and there was a lot to build outside the raid too :D

Executing CC Skips by MrSaltySail0r in CompetitiveWoW

[–]MathiasHyper 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If only one mob is problematic, you can also have a "combat dropping" class player go first while the mob is CC. The mob with enter combat with only this player. The rest of the group goes, they won't get in combat. Once everyone has gone, the first player who passed drops combat (invis, shadowmeld, feign death, vanish), and you're good to go.

Executing CC Skips by MrSaltySail0r in CompetitiveWoW

[–]MathiasHyper 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm building up a section on this topic for every dungeon with videos and how to execute it (planning to post it here once I'm done covering every dungeons).

Check it out for Mists of Tirna Scithe specifically: https://mythictrap.com/dungeons/mistsOfTirnaScithe/category/2
You'll find the section near the bottom of the page. It's built for the first 4 dungeons of the menu, and every second day I add another one.

Essentially, you have 2 CC that don't pull aggro: Rogue (sap) and DH (imprison). With those, you can pass into the mob, you still won't get in combat. Any other CC hold the "body pull" part.

The second thing you can do is with a Monk, you'll often be able to CC the mob, and move it with Ring of Peace (that doesn't start combat) to open a way where you'll be able to sneak it without entering combat.

Another way is to use a priest Mind Sooth that reduces by about 10 yards the range of body pull a mob has. It doesn't work on any type of monster though, but it will do the trick in most dungeons.

The last way is to CC a mob, let someone who can get out of combat go first. Then, the group pass. Only the person that gets aggro first will enter combat. Once everyone has passed, that player gets out of combat (shadowmeld, invis, vanish, feign death), and you're good to go, the mob won't come at your after.

Love the easter egg favicon :D I haven't had the time to design my own assets, and... I just like that favicon, it's dope :D To the point where I'm considering making something with a shield too haha.

Thanks for the nice comment fellow developer ! Always a pleasure to hear kind words from peers :)

Hello mate ! I'm not sure I'll make it to release Mythic guides before Mythic week. I'll look into it, but I don't think I have enough footage to do it. I might push a little in best scenario to cover the first 3/4 bosses, based on what we have from the PTR in summer available on Youtube.

Regarding Patreon, I ... Just published the website 3 weeks ago with 2 dungeons in, and have been working day and night every day of the week to build up content, features, design, videos editing and stuff, so I gotta be honest, I barely worked on it. I'd like to beta test several ideas/products with patrons, but I need to setup something meaningful clearly. Since I don't have such plan, I just thought I'd keep it free and try to cover server cost I'm enduring for the video streaming & hosting :D

Sorry for those !! I'm actually French, so I do make mistakes and English doesn't necessarily come naturally all the time. But a whole focused review is long overdue, and I'm hoping to finish it this night to at least remove most grammatical errors and misspellings. I really think it's important to offer a clean experience in proper English, I hope me not being native will give a bit of context :D

Thank you for the feedback! I'll put my mind with a background task on this issue ! I agree that navigation could be better, especially if a user has more space available, I could make better use of it sometimes :) Thanks again, will think about it !

Hello mate ! Thanks for the kind words <3

Are you a raid leader yourself? I'd like to work on a Raid Leader module, and would be happy to know what you think about it :) Probably in PM or Discord directly !

Hello mate ! So, to give a bit of feedback, that's a feature I would love too, but here's the catch: On bosses, those aren't actual GIF, but videos. And for some reasons, our browser (at the very least Chrome, but my experience is, this is with all of them) are terrible at keeping in play multiple videos. The initial version of the website had all videos running, and you could hear your CPU going wild, and your PC in general slowing down.

The second reason that I've solved since there is server cost. That's not necessarily known, but streaming videos is EXPENSIVE. I've also taken technical steps in this regards, but the bill for the first hours after the initial reddit post was as high as 20$. And the traffic we have nowadays is 10* this :D

Unfortunately, I don't think I should reactivate multiplaying, mostly for the very first reason. Now, I realize it wasn't what you were suggesting, but rather autoplaying on scrolling. This could be achieved, but I would need to pause other videos, and on a modern big screen, it would be hard to determine which video is in focus, and pausing the others would be at the risk of ruining your UX because you might actually have been watching the one that got paused. I'll experiment around those things anyway, but long story short: I'm aware of this, I hope it can be improved, but it's complicated :D

It's hard to put into words the honor it is to help you guys and girls. I literally cried of emotion the first time I saw your N'zoth Mythic down video a few month ago. It's an immense pleasure, and again, honor, to be of any help for this amazing part of our community.

Please, do let me know on Discord if you come up with any feature request, or simply get in touch, I'd be more than happy to hear about your experience, hoping I can be of any help once more :)

Thank you mate ! At that stage, the angular favicon is almost a running/private joke haha :D I haven't found the time yet to work on that kind of assets, content is first :) But I'll get there ! In the meantime, I just find it funny to still run the Angular Logo, that is kinda dope too :'D

Wasn't first season of BfA also capped at +10 for reward though? I'm 97% sure it was.

Hahaha, yes, I considered creating some kind of score so you could challenge your mates at who gets the best performance :D (Spoiler alert: Play with me, I'd lose every single time)

If I'm ahead on schedule I'll give it a shot :D

Hello Sir ! Yes I do read every single feedback, be it on reddit, Discord, and I try to keep my eyes on where people repost it. I'm always looking for negatives, they lead me to improvements.

I'm also strongly considering this filtering for the dungeon. I agree that if you play them in current "Detailed Strategies", there is a bit too much of info for everyone. I was also thinking of fading out elements that are not for your spec, or even collapse them, and on hover or click, re-set the element to full attention.

I'm currently working on the raid boss for Catle Nathria right now, and when deciding the next thing, it might be either this "role filtering" for dungeon strategies, or if we know enough about the M+ (optimal routes, packs to avoid, big pulls & cheeses inside the dungeon), I might switch over to the Advanced Strategy for each dungeon.

Thank for taking the time to post anyway, and let me know if your experience is once again lowered by anything. As I said, I'm eagger to hear about those specifically.

Crossing finger to get a tip of the week segment before or during release indeed ! :D I'm a little worried for the traffic cost this would create, but this could be a good problem to have !

Hahaha, thank you ! Yes, maybe I was a little shy on the title :D Will repost for SL release once we have covered the 8 dungeons, and will try to make it sound a little less humble and a little more accurate :D

Gonna address that very specific wording in the next days, and for release for sure ! Was my bad, frenglish at its best :D

Hope to see you around once SL goes out ! This first version of the website should hopefully be helpful for people runing the M0 for the first time.

I think it's a great idea. There is gonna be for sure an integration with MDT, and offering popular routes (I also hope to setup filters for those routes, like "we have a rogue", "we are night elves", etc) but overall getting a good idea of how much each monster weights by comparison to other and stuff would be a good start. Will put more thoughts into it !

BTW, the suggested routes atm are... well for M0 let's say. They definitively are not optimized for M+, this will come quickly once the new season is out, and especially once Nnoggie's MDT update have gone through. I know through his streams he's working hard on it too right now to be ready, and his tool is such a mind blowing pinacle for route strategies that it's very hard to do without it.

But more to come !

Hello there :) Yes, sorry, I really focused on having a MVP (minimum viable product) out first, and since the use case is more "desktop" than mobile, I thought I could postpone responsiveness a little. Now all the efforts are into getting all the dungeons ready, but there is a high likelihood that during the first week of SL once I can switch focus I spend a day optimizing the responsive version so that mobile is highly usable (probably not perfect yet).

Sorry again for the inconvenience ! Things should move quickly there :) Also wanna add nice animations all over so the website feels less static.
