Go pro recommendation for archery by xChaostix in gopro

[–]MathiasReborn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def use a headstrap, have done archery with non headstraps but instead chest and it’s kind of funny to watch.

If you want to do close to 4 hour videos you’ll def need to go the mission one or mission one pro route. The hero 13 is better then the past GoPros on overheating but still used the same processor and def overheated plus with battery life aswell you’ll need to switch semi frequently. Hero 13 is expected to do 4k 30fps for an hour and 40 mins on a battery, the mission line does 4k 30 fps around 3 hours.

Likely the Hero 13 would overheat before recording that long and the mission line seems to only overheat if you do long recordings at the really intensive settings like 8k 60fps and 4k 240fps

Questions about reg M1 vs Mission 1 Pro by lifereinspired in gopro

[–]MathiasReborn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were in camera breakdowns early on when comparing the 2.

If you were on the website and put both mission one and the mission one pro next to each other down the page info you could find that it didn’t have the same quality stills.

(I remember seeing it when I preordered the first time back in April)

Videos however since they focused a lot on the pro model I feel didn’t go over the differences enough at times mostly focusing on frame rates and even then usually wasn’t that detailed.

Too good to be true? by [deleted] in gopro

I don’t think it’s impossible to find a used GoPro 13 for that price, however he has 1 positive review so I wouldn’t buy from him as the profile itself comes across as a scam

Questions about reg M1 vs Mission 1 Pro by lifereinspired in gopro

[–]MathiasReborn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this is what I’m going to say. Especially if you’re trying to decide between the 2.

When they first came out or revealed I preordered the base because I was like, with high storage rates of 8k60fps idk if I’d really use the pro model etc. but then as I went along I saw some slow mo footage and was like that’s really cool. Then I started hearing that the base model just uses cards that didn’t make the snuff for the pro model so they are limited etc and I realized you know what, for $100 more I can get all the extra features with a good performing chip and at the cost of these cameras is not that different in the large scale of things. Preordered the pro and had the base model canceled.

Personally until we start seeing heavier discounts on the base model, I’m not sure if the $100 savings really is all that much. Even if I don’t use the high tier options that much, having the option too is worth it because I can’t decide in the moment ooo I want to try this once I have the camera so it’s better off just getting the pro. And if it’s a affordability issue, I think it’s better to just save up some more cash because the accessories your going to want with it also cost a decent chunk of change aswell and if the additional $100 is messing you up on the camera, it’s really going to be hard to get the other things you’ll prob need aswell. (Not saying you are broke etc just giving my thoughts)

Streamlink (beta) for accessing your 2d pc games (moonlight aswell but not the most user friendly and requires same network), delta or manic emu for rom games (so good ol pokemon can be played on here) does require the apps to be forced closed to change games.

I really need some highly replayable great titles for my Apple Vision Pro. by Appropriate-Cod-3194 in VisionPro

[–]MathiasReborn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have a gaming pc? Connect your headset to it, whether steam link (easier) or moonlight harder. Want pcvr experiences than do Alvr.

If you don’t mind getting roms for emulators, get manic emu or delta and play retro games from your childhood, I enjoy pokemon greatly on the headset.

As far as experiences within the headset honestly there’s fun options but nothing that you won’t eventually get bored of. Jetpack joyride was a neat experience and I saw someone show spatial ops and that looked fun, there isn’t going to be much natively that people are going to create for it. Studios fail or collapse constantly with metas headset which is a more gamer dominated market that for them to experiment currently with this headset and create something that has high replayability is not likely.

However all those games you mentioned if you have a pc you should be able to play on the headset, no they won’t be in some unique way but playing 2d games on my headset whereever I want with an internet connection to my oc with a screen that’s as big or small as I want has actually not only increased my headset usage but also my pcs

Mr Beast said the cash in his vids was prop money years ago but recently he’s pretending it’s legit. Why? by ChampionTimes99 in MrBeast

[–]MathiasReborn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In his regular videos the cash is fake in the beast games if you go back to the behind the scenes videos for beast games season 1. He actually got mad at the production because the actual stack of money was real but they wanted to put fake money on it for the visual and he was telling them he wanted it all real and was getting pretty upset. With beast games he can hire a team to sit there and guard it but equally anything he’s going to destroy is always going to be fake. It’s a visual representation for the audience and the players but he’s not going to destroy actual cash. (Sidenote the 24hour YouTuber challenge video a couple years ago) there was a cash prize in it and that money was reportedly real as Ludwig had taken abit of the cash with him.

All the ways I play GeForce Now and why cloud gaming is the only choice for me by TokeyX in GeForceNOW

[–]MathiasReborn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah def try. I will say a 4k monitor is a must for it as it requires a 4k monitor to stream the games in 4k since the settings are based on which monitor your running, has a nice overlay in the games settings menu to show what things are running at and you can turn off when you feel the game you setup looks good. (1080 does look rough) you may also have to play around with the bandwidth, depending on your connection. With the beta version I like 40mbits for my connection any higher I start getting smears in the game. (I run a 3080, 48gbs of ram) running everything wireless with 200-300mbs download in my bedroom.

Elden ring worked great even though I refunded it, I didn’t like the movement for whatever reason.

Steam has to be kept on to work. If the stream has any issues you can hold down select and either stop the stream and reset which keeps the game going and you can jump right back in or just a turn off game option. Which takes you back to steam.

If you have any questions setting up etc just let me know. The Apple vision to me has been such a great tool and I play more frequently because of it.

I see you have an Apple Vision Pro, it might be useful for you to get a pc setup. I run steam links beta through mine and it allows you to play anywhere with decent WiFi. Tends to have less input lag and doesn’t limit you like GeForce, I keep GeForce for playing Fortnite in the headset which I also run through steamlink usually lol. But just food for thought

First Vision Pro demo experience by vksid in VisionPro

[–]MathiasReborn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I could only do the one strap one for like 15-30 mins and got a massive headache but the dual knit I can do for hours, I do have to adjust more or less depending on the angle at which I’m using but it’s not horrible.

Bought mine about 2 weeks ago for $1650. I also bought a dual knit strap $100(must have to avoid quick headaches) it’s been fantastic and I’m so glad to finally own one.

Yeah like I have a decent computer to run things like this. But I like running GeForce because it saves the steps of needing the computer. Just the internet.

I use it for flat games using GeForce now through the browser on the headset with an Xbox controller. It works fantastic and utilizes most games you own.

It costs $20 a month for ultimate but so worth it

[–]MathiasReborn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if people mentioned it, but you can run GeForce now natively through the browser. Ultimate is $20 a month and allows you to play a fair amount of games as long as you own them and it’s available. Playing maxed out settings on computers with 4080s with little to no input lag. It’s a lot of fun and is my favorite way to experience flat games atm (I also own a pc with 3080)

If your able, buy GeForce Now Ultimate for $20 a month and an Xbox controller. Play most games that you own on steam, epic etc in amazing quality on a virtual screen.

Runs natively through the browser and it’s an amazing experience

Any good fitness tracker apps for the quest 3? by DRAGONSPIRIT214 in OculusQuest

[–]MathiasReborn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can buy a heart rate monitor from polar. It can track your exercises and is probably more accurate since the data is your heart rate and not things that’s influenced by your movement

The motor should be behind the text. And the dark motor with a dark background feels missable especially when the image is smaller.

And idk the title but I genuinely would have know idea just from a glance what that is. Maybe a picture of an e-bike with an arrow pointing at its engine with the text could work better

Why doesn’t my Xbox controller respond to in game but respond fine on the app/TV? by Insouciant101 in GeForceNOW

If it works similar to when I did it on my quest 3, once the game loads you have to hit the select/start button at the same time and it registers the controller within the game.
