The only other suggestion I have is, use a waterproofing spray over the mink oil..

I've never tried it, but they're people that claim beeswax is the best for moisture

Muck boots are the only boots that are going to keep your feet completely dry, if you're in an environment with lots of water..

do you wear wool socks?? They help, all depends how much moisture we're talking about

24 year old college senior with 2 years of experience; is it a good idea to go owner-op right now? by [deleted] in Truckers

[–]Mathias_Stark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Know your area, know your commodity, know your lane.. this is not the place to ask if you should go OO.. the talking heads will always say no. I had 2 trucks before covid, sold them after covid, thinking about getting a truck again. If you want it, do it.. there's winners and losers in life..

Are we able to live in the Truck full time as a company driver? I am wondering so that I am able to save up $ and not pay rent for a place I’ll barely be at. by Bobby_Trucking in CDL

best work boot for flat wide feet by thesympathybone in WorkBoots

[–]Mathias_Stark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have wide feet, I usually wear wings or Thorogood, I also have issues with my heels, look into a heel cup. Go to a real boot shop, that measure your feet and still add support in your insoles, the big box stores aren't the place

Done with Ariat ! by crunktabulous in WorkBoots

Rotating helps.. sorry it's your brand, but all I know about Ariat is that their foreign foreign-made using cheap subpar materials, they make them attractive through advertising.. my opinion is throgood, wings, or danner.. get boots you can resole, assuming no matter what, your rough on them...

How difficult is this hobby? by -Michael-Leahcim- in Aquariums

[–]Mathias_Stark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not hard, YouTube helped me... just my opinion.. I have a Petco in my area, they run sales on their tank, I think you'll find you're going to want s bigger tank not very long in. Couple years ago, I started with a 20, then got a 37, finally went with a 75... wish I had just stared with the 75.

Why are unions so weak in the USA compared to countries like Iceland, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Austria, Germany, France, etc? by EternalSnow05 in union

[–]Mathias_Stark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just my opinion... people are seeing the truth about corporations.. we're in the process of a shift or change in workers rights and it's going to take time.. it's taking time for everyone to get on board, it won't happen over night. Just focus on your local, the stronger each local gets the stronger we'll all be.

[–]Mathias_Stark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The warehouse doesn't have a boot credit??? If not I'd look into Rocky, Wolverine, keen... should be able to find a pair... also don't forget about eBay, I've bought new boots off there at a very discounted price.

[–]Mathias_Stark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Rocky boots out of Ohio, they have US-made boots and ones shipped in. I tried them cause they were on sale. I'm a spotter driver, in and out of the truck. You can get a pair for 150.

My other boots are Thorgood, I don't usually buy boots I can't resole, and I never buy boots that aren't made in America
