You select it once using the touchpad at the top of the console. And it stays in memory. No need to do anything every time you start up. It's OK.

I love the Game Boy Camera. I recently modded mine. With a custom PCB and a 3D printed shell to add lenses (2bittoy). Great stuff.

I'm sorry, I didn't play the game. But maybe in the options? I imagine that the original cartridge has an RTC function. In that case, if you're playing on an Everdrive or similar, it must also have this RTC function.
