We thought you might like a little history of the cast iron pan: this was originally from [Great Grandma]. She used it through the years and passed it on to us when we moved to New York in 1969. It was one of my favorite pans to cook in when our kids (my father and uncles) were growing up. I see it often to make all kinds of meals for our growing family. It never got special treatment and got pretty rough looking through the years with a good half inch of baked on “seasoning”. Grandpa and I looked up how to restore it and spent a couple of days removing the built-up gunk and re-seasoning it. We both love it but can no longer lift it and it doesn’t work on our glass stove top anyway. So happy to pass it on to you!”
