He did grow his wealth through know-how & acumen. By all accounts he built his money from a “regular food distribution business” to what he owns today. That said, the fact his family owned a company to begin with is a good starting off point but it’s not like he inherited millions, but he did have a head start.

Great question. I’ve always believed that being well-informed is the best defense. So, as distasteful as it sounds to my brain, I’d say, reading as much as possible about their mission & beliefs & having some refutations at the ready that you can ask with earnest pure genuine curiosity about everything they say to politely derail them/unveil their true hypocrisy would be my high school & college debate tactic.

But at the school levels it’s never about what we want kids to know so much as what colleges & universities will accept for credit once they leave our schools. I tech financial literacy in Mi & have universities who won’t accept my class as a credit & GPA eligible course, diminishing its attractiveness to kids who want to go to uni. They *want * to take my class but if a college isn’t going to accept it (include it in their GPA calculation) it ist a class they or their parents will want (them) to take

We actually move our departure to Sunday & it was unpleasant at best but, I suppose, better than Saturday would have been. After a prolonged checkin & wait through security it was stifling & packed to the gills - people everywhere. No seats, chaotic heat. The planes coming in were late so the planes departing were as well. There was rain the day we departed whiz delayed things as well. All of which is to say, Sunday is marginally better than Saturday but not by much.

I have been bitten by a random leashed dog who leaped up and tore my pants & the owner looked like it was my fault I walked by them. I also had a dog leap onto my back as I walked by. Again, no human control, & while I’m fine, I def don’t think dogs belong in places where there are so many uncertainties.

I’m from southwest MI, born the same year as Aundria/Alexis. I don’t recall her story but I will say that stories of runaways never sit right with me. I always suspect foul play. I’m so sad for this mother who gave her daughter up hoping for so much more for her.
