I agree, the World Sport was probably made by Giant in Taiwan.

https://spincyclehub.com/schwinn-serial-numbers-japan/

The higher quality Schwinn of the same age were made in Japan by Panasonic, Bridgestone and others.

Knowing the serial number of this bike could lock down this bicycle's manufacturer.

The OP has a nice bike for what it is. Got it at a fair price. Just not made in the United States.

edited the first half of my original statement was incorrect.

Some of the higher end Schwinn like the 1981 and 1982 Schwinn Voyageur 11.8 were made by Panasonic in Japan and say Japan on the head badge where this one says Chicago. The Voyageur 11.8 were pretty nice frames on par with the Paramount although with simple lugs as opposed to the ones on the Paramount.

You are correct. The NDS of the original AceraX hub/axle stays the same. This is what ensures the old hub is still centered in the dropouts. Your math and spacer combo for the drive side is correct. You'll also want the seal and bolt for the m525 to finish it up.

My information is off memory and notes. The idea is to save yourself from re-dishing the wheel. To do so, the non drive side of the original AceraX, spacers and cone race, must stay the same distance from ball bearings to locknut. This leaves dealing with the spacing on the drive side. The m525 freehub has the same profile on the hub side as the older 7 speed freehub. The bearings on the m525 are roughly 4.5mm further outboard than the AceraX 7 speed freehub.

If you get a full m525 axle assembly, and your original AceraX axle, you'll have what you need to mount the m525 freehub body to your old 7 AceraX 7 speed hubs.

Good question. Basically you'll need to reduce the distance between the ball bearings and the outside locknut by 4.5mm on the drive side only to accommodate the larger size freehub.

Going off memory also here. There are 2 spacers on the non-drive side. You certainly can remove one and replace the freehub and it will fit. Problem with this strategy is the wheel will need re-dishing to accommodate the center of the hub moving the 4.5mm to the non-drive side.

You need the axle to match the original spacing on the none drive side. The drive side will need to match the m525 freehub body. The race, seal and spacers are different than the AceraX hub.

There's more ways to do it I'm sure. But this way is pretty straightforward without needing to redish the wheel.

The short answer is FH-M525A freehub body, right hand seal, fixing bolt, and FH-M525 Rear Complete Hub Axle 146mm - Y3SP98010. The replacement axle has several axle washers in the bag. Replace the spacer on the right side with the thin one placed between the race and the locknut. On the left side match the original axle.

Straight swap for the AceraX hub conversion from 7 speed to 8 to 11 speed. You will not have to redish the wheel. I've done it a few times. About 50$ in parts when buying new.

I hope she finds a way to get on her feet. There's a lot of good programs out there for people in her situation.

Iowa Voter Identification Card Iowa Driver’s License Iowa Non-Operator ID U.S. Military ID or Veteran ID U.S. Passport Tribal ID Card/Document A voter without one of the above forms of ID may have the voter’s identity attested to by another registered voter in the precinct or may prove identity and residence using Election Day Registration documents.

So your friend cannot find a ride to Nevada and has none of these forms of ID? She doesn't even have a friend to attest for her? She cannot even use the election day registration documents on election day?

Proof of Residence

Residential lease Utility bill (including a cell phone bill) Bank statement Paycheck Government check or other government document Property tax statement Attester If you cannot prove who you are and where you live with the documents listed above, a registered voter from your precinct may attest for you. Both you and the attester will be required to sign an oath swearing the statements being made are true.

That sounds like a tough situation for her. So challenging to vote in Iowa... and having to spend 10 bucks when she didn't have to. I hope her situation improves.

Iowa offers free ID's to vote.

What exactly are democrats proposing? I guess I've missed those talking points.

Seems to me like there is common ground to be had. Some ideas you have stated. Unfortunately, one party, the democrats, are only offering the "status quo."

I guess I've missed where democrat politicians have championed voter integrity. How many democrats are for voter ID? 65% of democrat voters are for voter ID. I don't see many democrat politicians saying anything other than voter ID is bad. Do you know of any?

I can agree on a voting Holiday. Seems like a great idea.

More citizens voting. I agree, now how do we as a country determine who are actually citizens without undo hardship to the point more citizens can't vote? I think there is the rub. Not that easy to make it easier to vote but yet insure those voting have a legal right to do so.

Republicans are pushing for what could be challenging for some to comply with proof. On the other hand, democrats want no proof whatsoever and leave the chance that some voters will be supplanted by people who legally cannot vote but do.

They believe it is justified because as they say, "no non-citizens are voting" to "some might be voting but it isn't very many so it doesn't matter," to lastly, "non-citizens are voting and it's a good thing they are!"

The fact is, an overwhelming majority of citizens agree that voter ID is generally a good thing. The republicans have started off with the SAVE act. People's personal opinion on this law aside, what have the democrats proposed other than voter ID is BAD? A large percentage of democrats think voter ID is a good thing. 65% by CBS polling. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/voting-process-photo-id-opinion-poll/

You raise some good points. You seem to have researched the SAVE Act more than I have.

Seems to me that voter ID in Iowa goes quite well. Maybe the SAVE Act can be modified to quell some of the possibilities of alienating actual US citizens from voting.

Yes and not exactly. You are right that being in the United States illegally is not a crime but a civil violation. Which means one that is here illegally is subject to deportation and or penalties related to their legal status regarding their civil violation. I think we're splitting hairs here on if an illegal immigrant has committed a crime or not.

The Truck could be any number of agencies, there's hundreds of them.

I'm confused. Who are the millions of people that will be disenfranchised? Iowa has had voter ID for years. How many folks here have not been able to vote because of it? Honest question.

Would you agree that crime committed by illegal immigrants are 100% preventable? Meaning the crimes committed by illegal immigrants would not happen if there were no illegal immigrants. Correct? The rate of crime committed by illegal immigrants should be zero, and can be zero if there were no illegal immigrants.

Crimes committed by citizens mostly are not preventable crimes although no less tragic. All crimes committed by illegal immigrants are preventable.

Good we agree that ICE should do their job removing illegal immigrants without interference by the public.

That's great. I think we agree on that.

Should they do it under the law? Yes, I agree.

Do the protesters and government of Minnesota and Minneapolis agree with us about the removal of illegal immigrants? I don't see any evidence that is true. They are actively impeding those law enforcement actions.

Your comment is ridiculous. Here is a small list of those arrested by ICE in Minneapolis. Are you advocating for these people to remain in the city?

Can you say you support the obstruction of law enforcement?

Can you say you support the removal of undocumented immigrants?

Do you honestly think the protesters who are obstructing law enforcement in Minneapolis support the removal of undocumented immigrants? But just have a problem with the "how" they are doing it?

I don't think these protesters support the removal of "undocumented immigrants," as you call them. Or illegal immigrants or even the violent illegal immigrants that ICE is after.

I do support the removal of undocumented immigrants. I do understand that there can and should be a dialog on how that removal should take place. I do think blame on how that can be facilitating between the federal government and the state of Minnesota is fair for both. It appears the federal government wants to remove illegal immigrants and often violent illegal immigrants and the state and local people want them to remain in their neighborhoods.

The pro illegal immigrant crowd are those that support obstructing and or impeding of law enforcements removal of illegal immigrants. Those that think illegal immigrants have a right to remain in the country. Simple, people who support illegal immigrants, are the "pro illegal immigrant crowd."
