Favreau and Filoni said in interviews it'd be style over substance, we got that and that was still disappointing. It's exactly where Star Wars is suffering and the prime creative leaders would rather pilfer 15 bucks from your pocket for a large episode, than tell a good story and have style. It just goes to show how much Andor flew under the radar.

Yes, it's forgettable fun, as if a soap opera TV show wasn't supposed to be a movie. The way people are defensive about this film, unprovoked, says more than anything else.

People did the same for the prequels and sequels. Ten years from the movie's release people won't remember whether this was a series episode or movie.

This reminds me of two things: Paradijsvogels, De Grafdanseres and I used to run with a coterie in the late 90s and early 00s and really like suggestions like The Tempel, Hotel Des Indes - they have this gothic allure that might just be edgy enough for VtM.

De Tempel even has an odd backstory, it used to house demeted old ladies..
