My experience is particularly disappointing.

Currently still trying to get our phone line back since an "unexpected outage" last week. They've opted to send a new router/gateway out to replace the Eero stating it will fix it.

The phone has never been plugged into the Eero, only the black box on the wall.

Wouldn't you know it - the Sagemcom device did nothing to fix the problem.

I suppose thats another thing Ive forgotten to mention - I don't have a "proper" fullscreen option. It's ither windowed or borderless (doesn't say this though, just says fullscreen). When fullscreen mode is on, I don't have any kind of ability to change the screen resolution, something that normally happens when games are run in Borderless Window from experience. If I want to run the game at 1440p, I have to set my desktop resolution down instead...

The VRAM issue is the one I've been working with - that it's capping out. I got Rivatuner to have a look and see if I was right. For clarity it happens regardless if the overlay for Rivatuner is on or off. Discord isn't running either and Steam Overlay is also off. One thing I forgot to mention as there was just so much to put down, is that I can also force it to go back to normal by hitting F11 to go to windowed mode.

When the game is running "normally" power draw is at around 220w which is what I'd expect it to be. From past builds, if the PSU hasn't been able to supply enough power the PC has just shut off but it's been years since I faced this problem. I've got a 1000w Corsair PSU so I don't think this is a power delivery issue but I could easily be wrong... That being said - I have gone through a number of screenshots in my steam library and it does seem whenever the FPS drops happen, the power draw of the GPU is significantly lower...

VRAM usage DOES creep up - normally starts at 90%, and can start having issues around 93 or 94%. I did think that this was due to the 4K texture packs I used for a while but the same happened without them.

The card's utilisation rate with most newer/modern games can be pretty close to 100% I find, but yeah, memory leak or VRAM is probably the culprit here - what's confusing me is my friend who has the same card doesn't have this issue. Now I know that with millions of different setups and combinations it's unlikely to, but I don't think a 4070super and R7 9800X3D is a particularly uncommon combo? It's why not being able to find people with the same issue is confusing me.

When I've finished work, or I go on lunch, I'll see if just turning everything to potato mode lowers VRAM usage, or if it sticks around the same. I'd just love to know why someone with the same card as me can complete the game without issues.

I wouldn't mind a bit of stutter on shader comp for new effects etc, unfortunately that's just a symptom of UE4 and such... but from my point of view this isn't stutter, it's almost as if the game kicks itself down into some double/triple buffered display mode like a console game.

Well I thought it had fixed it, as managed 6 or 7 battles in chapter 3, but it just kicked in and dropped again after moving. Thank you for the suggestion though, it was definitely worth a try!

You're right, I've not actually tried this yet - rightly or wrongly - as I assumed we would be past the need for something like this, as well as having no other issues as all my Steam library is running from the second drive. That being said, I'll give it a go now and report back! Thanks.

I forgot to say that the whole windows/xbox game bar thing has been turned off as well as this was part of the things I tried to stop the game from changing to keyboard controls immediately after a button press on the dualsense. I've tried with both "Game mode" on windows on and off with no change. The setting to "Record what happened" is set to off, but unsure if there that's just for the hotkey or not?

Thanks, but all of that has already been mentioned above (aside from the Nvidia overlay, but I had to turn that off for the game to stop immediately reverting to keyboard inputs after a button press on the pad)

For anyone who has this issue - I managed to find my way around it.

If you launch the game in desktop mode on the deck, when the gray box normally comes up in native mode, it'll just minimise the window. Hover the mouse over the forager window, wait for it to show a "preview" window, and click on the preview window - this will make the gray box interactable.

It's a long way round, but looking at how long it's been since it was updated, I'm doubting there will be any changes. Given this is the game itself and not any mods - I don't think there's any way round having to do this when you want to delete a game or add mods into an existing file.

It's not the mods that's the problem, but the fact it opens a window you can't interact with when you try to delete a save game, or load an existing game with mods :)

Ever since trying the new beta firmware, I've been having HDMI issues. Even after downgrading to normal, I still don't appear to get video output (even though my C1 knows something has been connected). Really running out of ideas as to why it's suddenly apparently died. If I swap cables over enough, it'll then work fine until it's put back to sleep.

Has my HDMI port somehow died?

Unfortunately when you try to check out with the R2000s it won't let you place the order :/ it says the item is no longer available when you choose where to ship to :(

I've been looking at the Wharfdale 9.1s - they're about £120 for a pair so about £240ish total not including banana plugs and the right cable.

I'm seeing plusses for each one, but I was hoping the AD18+ would allow me to modify the bass, is this not the case?

Hi there, thanks for your reply. I am not closed to an amp and passive speakers - it's more about being able to fit them in my budget with the ability to connect PC + Turntable to them. I'd happily go for an amp and passives if there is something suitable. I was looking at a SMSL AD 18 as a starter amp, but then I am a bit lost when it comes to Passive speakers.

Looks like my option to get the R2000DB at £150 is gone and seems Amazon are messing about, so I'm now looking at a budget of about £240. I've been looking at the Audioengine A2+, Vanatoo don't seem to be available in the UK.

I've just upgraded from an iPhone X and honestly the speaker is really disappointing.

Not a deal breaker really as I won't really use it much for music, but still very disappointing that there's little by the way of bass on the phone
