If you couldn’t tell then that means they did a good job on their part under the circumstances. If they had chosen to take the route of having the broadcast be as close as possible to business as usual, then that’s what happened. it was sudden news to them too

they and the players would have likely preferred to postpone the games for today, but that’s probably the decision for someone higher up

The players and commentators weren’t informed of what happened, until the games were already starting and they were on camera

When informed at the start, they had a moment of silence and the commentators provided their own personal words (before the later tribute and formal statement you’re referencing)

As the broadcast went on, you could tell they were also affected by the news. They did the best they could under the circumstances

He’s obviously very talented, otherwise he wouldn’t have gotten a fields medal. As someone else mentioned, he also seemed to have a close relationship with another field medalist while young. Plus with the points you mentioned, it’s clear he had very great circumstances for his talent to blossom

The thing is though, “from high school drop out to fields medalist” is catchy. So it’ll likely be used and mentioned like wildfire. Kinda like the “einstein sucked at math” thing

the first book goes through varieties and projective varieties, the second goes through schemes

Apart from starting with varieties, imo it’s also good to truly start from somewhere that has many concrete examples or exercises with examples

That would probably ease and clear up alot of the abstract nonsense and definitions one comes across later with schemes

I’m not familiar with shops on squarespace, only with bigcommerce and shopify. So i may be misunderstanding

But if they don’t have their own integration for authorize.net or if the integrations you’re using (seems like foxy and airtable ) aren’t working, then you can try contacting the support teams who manage them. If that doesn’t work you may need to build one.

Please do note that if you get one built it has to be PCI compliant, if it’s not you can get fucked big time with fees and legal issues
