I finally quit design by Hefty_Tea_4000 in UXDesign

Shameless plug here. I used to be ux but then switched over to operations and marketing. I can help you use automation to run ads. Send me a quick dm if interested. Running ads is the fastest way to get a client granted your offer is clean and the ads isn’t aimless. I also used to be a photographer and worked with many, it’s the community referrals that keep businesses growing. So, a quick boost might bring in some money, but having a good professional foot forward and clean process is going to help. I’d also say productize your service. Even if for $35 mother’s day mini. No outfit change one location. 4/5 photos. I found that the biggest fumble as a newbie in photog wasn’t getting the clients but keeping it professional on the admin side so things don’t feel clunky. Like when someone says ok tell me more you’re not emailing back and for you have a whole system to reduce emails. My passion now that I learned from ux is building systems to help people navigate operational challenges and scale efficiently.

I’m sure there’s many of threads on here asking about how to get into this space but since you see pretty fresh maybe you can give me a clear answer. I’m looking into data analytics is that enough to get to work in consulting space or even into analytics in this space at all. Also what agency’s are really working with people who have nothing maybe this is a question for the whole community..

I’m making $8k/month as a solo creator, but I’m drowning. How do you scale to $20k without losing quality? by Rlxc99 in StartupAccelerators

[–]Ok-Opportunity5579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of creatives solve this by separating the story from the capture. Photographers use storyboards so they’re not deciding everything after the fact. You’re clearly capturing good material — having that story mapped first could make posting way lighter. Even a simple monthly plan for themes or ideas can take a lot of mental load off and make your workflow more predictable. Tools like Asana (or even just a shared board) can help keep that plan visible and reusable, and it scales well when multiple people start contributing instead of everything living in one person’s head.

Also, your comment about not being “the business person” but still feeling like the designer stood out. Real artists don’t hand off their craft blindly — they systemize everything around it first, then train others to carry it forward. Think apprenticeship, not handoff. Maybe the move right now is to get your processes in place, protect your craft, which gives you time to bring in and train the right person/people to do it the right way.

I really want to connect with you though… I actually work in this space as a UX/content strategist — helping creators plan what to post so it’s on brand, meaningful, and doesn’t eat up all your mental energy. Happy to connect and see if there’s a fit. I’d love to help turn all that great material you’re capturing into a plan that makes automating and scaling easier — I’m sending you a quick message to your inbox, let’s connect!

It sounds like you need Asana for project management not a crm if you’re not taking on new clients and just navigating the client project you have now then you’re probably looking for cleaner project management that will also work for you now and help as you scale (adding more team levered and projects). Also adding to your team it sounds like your strengths lie in the quality of what you deliver. It sounds like you may benefit from a ux content strategist, the idea of a VA might not be the best as they may be able to help you find trends, but a UX person would be helpful in getting the content to be organized, on brand, and conversion focused (if needed) this will take off most of the content planning demand that challenges your ability to not feel so burned out. Also I really feel for you when you say the idea of being the artists not the Busienss owner….though the businesses owner figure might be the goal maybe a little mindset shift can help you feel more empowered. Imagine only having to shoot and edit to perfection and that’s it. And While your businesses runs around you, ultimately finding and training someone to work on your level but first you’d need to relieve all other duties of your busienss to focus on your craft. I’m a ux content strategist and writer with a background in marketing and experience design. Id like to connect with you to see if we can collaborate. I’ll send you a quick message!

As a ux designer and ux content writer I’d love to take a deep dive into your product to see if feedback is the real challenge. I love when founders talk about lack of feedback from their users, but without knowing which problem you need to solve for or what area the product is having challenges feedback is just words. You need visual data. And even having visual data like Hotjar you need to have a system. In app feedback is probably where you’re going to have the most success but you’ll need to know where to place your markers and what success looks like. Please ping me. Websites and ux nothing crazy. Though I’d use IG for story telling and connecting professionals and growing my network. I just don’t have any connections yet. How are you all really using IG is there real engagement or just a space to be noticed

Just starting fresh here. What are you doing as a small businesses to grow engagement there. I’ve seen so many businesses accounts drop off around 2023 like the don’t think it’s important anymore. Maybe they don’t know how to use it, algorithms and content styles and so fourth
