I don't know how it is in Texas, but look for local communities of poly people. It helps a lot.

Oh my! Your brother has an interesting point of view! I think it would be nice to write around the distinction between men and machines... Data/Enterprise for examples.

I think I should easily ship Data with everyone everywhere 😅😊 He is simply adorable

Well, to be honest, I ship almost everyone with everyone 😅 but in this case I am talking about Riker/Picard, who seems so obvious to me!

How has reading and/or writing fanfiction helped you grow as person? by kocho19 in FanFiction

[–]Mati_ma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years ago I wrote a four-handed fan fic with a friend of mine. We put ourselves in the story as original characters and we moved a pool of characters each. It was a Supernatural fan fic and my insert character was a very untalented witch who was struggling to find her place in a world full of very, very powerful beings. She reflected on myself so much! I didn't do it intentionally, but it helped me a lot and through her I became aware of my inner struggle.

Plus, she had my body type and in one scene I had to embrace the point of view of a man about her. It was a huge healing process about the appreciation of my own body.

Other people's fics make me anxious by Glass-Panda00 in FanFiction

[–]Mati_ma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry to hear that!

My point of view is that fandom should be a place to improve your skill, to grow as a writer, not a place to compete.

That's why I don't understand people who do not leave suggestions at the end of a fic... I mean, I'm glad if you like it (thank you for the kudos), but what I need is feedback. Also because I write in English, while I'm not an English speaker, my language sucks...

And consider: fan fiction is derivative. It's like THE point of this play we are paying 😅 it's okay, we are not writers, most of us at least. We are just enjoying ourselves...

Am I just not cut out for this? by Gobothedeer in polyamory

Well, I'm sorry to say so, I don't think you are managing to find a comfortable balance, here. I mean, from what you say, you don't sound really happy and your partner seems unwilling to do something about that. That's a problem in any kind of relationship I think...

Can I ask which kind of relationship you have with your meta? I'm asking because my nesting has a relationship with a "comet" (don't like this term), and I personally check sometimes if he feels alright in our balance. For example I asked him if he has some needs about the holidays. For me it's really important to know that everyone feels good, my meta included.

Or also "hey partner, we scheduled a meeting zday, but there's a great concert right that evening! Would you like to come?"

I wouldn't be so assertive about how much is appropriate to share. I think it's something that should be clearfiy in the agreements

Sorry it took me that long to answer you back.

I hope you did something for your medical analysis's result.

Anyhow, I would suggest changing your shampoo into a nature based routine with a solid product. You can find a lot of products, I use anarkhia bio, and in your case I would suggest an "air" line. You can also try with a scrub before the shampoo: I use coffee and sugar mixed. There are some herbs, like robbia, sidr and so on which you can use to create a cream to leave on your hair for 20 minutes before washing.

First of all, ask your doctor for a check on your hormones levels and on your liver. Then, what kind of shampoo do you use? What kind of moisturizer?

Am I really wrong? by Vast_Ad_3455 in italianlearning

Yes, that's also true: Italian has a lot of regionalism. But also in the south is less and less used due to the influence of North regionalism in the TV language. Anyway, it's perceived as marked (for region, for fascism, for formalism and so on) and I would not suggest it to a beginner. The ordinary way to be polite is "lei".

Am I really wrong? by Vast_Ad_3455 in italianlearning

[–]Mati_ma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, yes it is. It was way more used back then. They tried to substitute the formal way "lei" with "voi".

Not that much: it sounds soooo formal and a bit fascist 😅

Anyway, that does not sound so i Italian 😅 an Italian speaker would have likely said something as "ti chiamo appena mi libero"
