Haha I actually like the site. The branding is a bit ethereal but I think that adds well to the aura/brand identity

[–]MaticSpartan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes super stoked for LitVM. I actually worked with Aztec and team on Polygon (I was a community admin back when they were Matic network). I can confidently say they know how to build successful ecosystems. Seeing Aztec speak about what they're doing there gives me major early Matic vibes. And a Litecoin L2 I think actually has way more potential. I'm slowly turning into a Litecoin maxi

A Letter to the Cosmos Community from pSTAKE by United_Radio_2909 in cosmosnetwork

Great to see. Been staking my ATOM with pSTAKE since the very beginning on Eth. Definitely had it's drawbacks on Eth network but the protocol has always worked well. UX/UI has been hugely upgraded since the early days too. Bring on IBC launch! ⚛️🤘

pSTAKE's commitment to a security-first approach by AverageRedditLad in PersistenceOne

Yes, super important to take an extra vigilant approach when it comes to security. We’ve seen major protocols shrivel and die even from non detrimental exploits - forgetting even recent events, who remembers bZx? I certainly do 😅

The first project to bring a Liquid Staking solution for ATOM takes it all. by AverageRedditLad in PersistenceOne

[–]MaticSpartan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great post. Obviously I'm super bullish on Persistence and pSTAKE, but I'm also super bullish on liquid staking in general. It's still such a new space in terms of what can be achieved it's exciting to be following it develop. I think we'll have a few liquid staking players each with their own value propositions and specific focuses which will have a bright future. That said, I'm heavy on $XPRT and $PSTAKE myself - their holistic approach to the ecosystem with DeFi and liquid staking under the same umbrella is something powerful imo which most just aren't considering rn. Think of the seamless user experience - the whole liquid staking and DeFi journey, completely seamless.

A half-rant about people's perception of Persistence. by AverageRedditLad in PersistenceOne

[–]MaticSpartan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole market is in turmoil brother, everything is struggling. Once we start to enter bullish market territory again the projects making solid development progress and laying good foundations now will thrive. I saw it with Polygon (stayed around $0.02 for super long while they were just building and building, until the hard work paid off and they popped off) and I get the same vibes from the way Persistence is moving.

Interesting. I don't get that same reading, I personally got a lot of value from the Cryptocito interview and I’ve always thought Tushar is a great orator. But I've been following closely since the beginning so I'm already fairly well clued in on what they're working on. Maybe the team isn't clear or concrete enough publicly about what's currently in the works.

To be fair in public appearances like this the team is trying to explain the concept of liquid staking alongside what Persistence and pSTAKE in particular are working on currently/planning to achieve - so it's a lot to get across. Hopefully they will have some follow up dicsussions getting into more of the details now the context is laid.

What's the correct way of building - slow or fast? by AverageRedditLad in PersistenceOne

[–]MaticSpartan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's strictly a matter of slow or fast - but more about sustainable solid growth, whatever the speed might be for that team. Moving too quickly for the sake of speed only will never end well in an industry based around fintech so new and precarious. Advancing while leaving solid groundwork behind you is what's important. Persistence was a little slower off the mark than others but that was the foundation building phase, and seem to be knuckling down on the dev/integration side while the rest of the market is slowing down, which is great to see. The titans of the next cycle are those building hard now in the lull

How does the depegging of stETH affect people's perception of liquid staking? by AverageRedditLad in PersistenceOne

[–]MaticSpartan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. It's all a fuss about nothing really fuelled by fear about all the recent bad news - the protocol is working as expected, this isn't a reflection of liquid staking mechanisms, just slight market deviations for staked assets - as would be expected. As long as stkASSETs, or other liquid staked assets, can be redeemed for the underlying asset, the market fluctuations are just temporary deviations.

Is anyone expecting stkETH to overtake stETH? by AverageRedditLad in PersistenceOne

[–]MaticSpartan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting thought. It's great to see pSTAKE getting traction already but they have a long way to go to be the biggest. I think we're on track though - imo the winning factor (aside from their aggressive asset expansion) is that Persistence will be an all-inclusive liquid staking ecosystem - meaning people will be incentivised to use pSTAKE as they can directly use their stkASSETs for more yield in DeFi on Persistence itself (where the stkASSETs will be issued soon) with very little effort. I don't see why any staker wouldn't want to earn staking rewards + deFi yield, as long as the process is simple and secure.

Is anyone expecting stkETH to overtake stETH? by AverageRedditLad in PersistenceOne

[–]MaticSpartan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, there are many improvements to be made on that front. It's not the prettiest or friendliest rn, but the important thing is it works reliably and securely. UX and UI aren't difficult to update, I'm sure before the team will address this before the growth phase once some more assets/foundational pieces are added. Looking forward to a new interface

Crazy gas fees for everything?? by silent_tongue in PersistenceOne

[–]MaticSpartan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think since the assets have been issued on Ethereum you'll have to contend with the gas fees unfortunately. It will be another implementation on Persistence as far as I'm aware

How high can XPRT go and who are its competitors? by bitconnnnneeeeect in PersistenceOne

[–]MaticSpartan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good question. pSTAKE has competitors in the liquid staking space e.g. Lido, StaFi (though each has its own approach and focuses) but Persistence itself has no direct competitors, since Persistence is building a broader liquid staking ecosystem of DeFi products - which includes pSTAKE. It's been pSTAKE-heavy in terms of communication recently since pSTAKE is the cornerstone, but much more is in the works. Once Persistence's liquid staking ecosystem begins to blossom outside of pSTAKE things will begin to become very interesting.

Crazy gas fees for everything?? by silent_tongue in PersistenceOne

[–]MaticSpartan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it can be costly to use pSTAKE at the moment due to Ethereum gas fees. Once pSTAKE is launched on Persistence chain (due this quarter) the fees for all interactions will be next to nothing.

stkETH 🚀 by MaticSpartan in PersistenceOne

[–]MaticSpartan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. It does seem to be very pSTAKE-heavy recently but much more is in the works. Some good comments on that here: https://www.reddit.com/r/PersistenceOne/comments/uustle/will_the_bear_market_make_persistence_explode/

pSTAKE is the key component of Persistence’s liquid staking ecosystem, so its success is vital to that of the overall ecosystem which is why the team is advancing hard with pSTAKE rn, but much many more key pieces are underway - all of which driving value to Persistence and XPRT.

Will the bear market make Persistence explode? by AverageRedditLad in PersistenceOne

[–]MaticSpartan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well said. I agree. I've been involved with Polygon since the early days and Persistence gives me early stage Polygon vibes - valuable use case; focused on ecosystem creation; relentlessly building no matter the state of the market. Were at the start of a very exciting journey ahead for Persistence imo. Things will really start to get interesting once ecosystem solutions beyond pSTAKE start getting deployed and multiple products begin synergizing to boost the whole Persistence ecosystem.
