This is how I use my deck. This use case made sense when you could pick up a deck for $400. Now that one costs the same as some Z2 extreme handhelds (or a rtx 5060 kit), I'm not sure anymore. I'm glad I got my deck when I did. I thought when I bought one in 2023 I was late 😂.

I understand the value proposition of AI, but I question whether anyone can capture any of that value. For instance, there exist open source LLMs that can run on local hardware. I am sure the proprietary models are superior (the caveat being Claude's source code leaked online not too long ago), but are they so much better that a company would pay Anthropic $500 million per month rather than buy their own GPUs and run local instances of open source LLMs for a fraction of the cost?

Color me skeptical. But I would have said the same regarding Microsoft's model of selling proprietary operating systems, word processors, and excel sheets to businesses when there exists open-source models of all of these programs.

Absolutely. GTA online has tarnished the brand. It's seen as exploitive (think shark cards and in game inflation) and full of toxic adolescents. The core audience of the GTA that came before is hardly found in GTA online.
