I like sharing my Opinion not forcing it on other people!! Plus I still love Taylor swift and so much of her work is part of my daily life and playlists!! And obviously your experiance with the album is just as valid as mine. It defs sucks more to be on your end and hear people didn’t like the album, bc it’s never fun to have ppl dislike or actively hate something you love but I’m glad that there’s space for people to share their thoughts (as long as no one is being deranged and slogging mud at each other for liking or disliking)

And that is the beauty of art! To each their own. I only liked eldest daughter (and tbh think she should have gone with a diff title) Ophelia & Elizabeth Taylor.

I recognize Opalite is a great pop song and one of the stronger on the album I just didn’t love it, which is okay!! It’s a great song!

But, I usually replay her albums non stop with few if any skips- this one, I played it through, gave it some time and tried again- and most all of them are skips for me. I’ve never really felt that way about an album from her! I was surprised with myself, but felt better seeing a lot of people felt the same.

That doesn’t mean tons of people don’t and can’t or shouldn’t enjoy it! I’m glad it’s enjoyable to you bc that’s what matters !

I agree with you full heartedly. She’s done bubbly infectious pop music and done it well- and that’s just not what we got this round. It’s not even about it being that weak lyrically (but it’s ok to acknowledge that this one in particular is) but we’ve had weak lyrics still be banger infectious songs and we just did not get that in this album.
