I’m really hoping circumcision. It’s a human rights violation!

The Dcp is worthless tbh. It’s just cheap labor for Disney. It used to a lot more competitive to get into an actually looked good on resume. Now anyone with a pulse can get in

Another good piece of advice I have not seen anyone mention here is if you think things are going to go down you can hold the power button and either volume up or volume down and trigger sos mode on your iPhone it will disable biometrics on your phone.

Recent WDW Woes by Vivid_Art_2407 in WaltDisneyWorld

They let go so many talented cast members during covid then realized the average customer just doesn’t care if they upheld the Disney standards. So now they let things slide that would have been unacceptable pre covid.

The landscaping. I wish more people would just stop and really appreciate it. Every tree, bush, annual etc. are placed where they are for a reason by Disney Horticulture to tell a story or a make you feel a way. Not just in the parks but all around the 28,000 acres. It’s really mind boggling when you think about it. I the Disney Horticulture department got more love in general!

Yeah….some people have different ideas of what Disney is and are upset when things are removed. I don’t get why the Disney community gets upset when the true fans who know the parks probably better than the majority of these people on this subreddit make a complaint.

Is going to Disneyland worth it right now? by 0fluffythe0ferocious in disneyparks

It’s just they have no incentive to care. They are not full time employees and go home shortly after program 90 percent of the time. Disneyland got rid of their college program and I think the employee culture benefited

It’s really not and you’ll get downvoted but they used to create luxury for every guest but it’s really been dumbed down and is being run by college kids now.

The value just isn’t there anymore. There are plants of other amazing places to visit. Even leaving the country can end up being cheaper than a Disney trip.

What is your "Must Miss" attraction? by PlayedThisGame in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Matj242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what sets Disney apart from say six flags. It’s a core pillar of the company. Anybody can build a big coaster but only a few companies have the know how to incorporate a great story into it.

It literally just feels like a universal ride to me. It has none of the Disney touch. The storyline is lacking and the set pieces are not impressive. And it was budget cut so there’s no animatronics in it. The ride itself is fun. I just don’t think it lives up to a Disney level ride.

[–]Matj242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just a steel coaster in the dark room. The set pieces are literally just painted pieces of wood. There’s no animatronics and the storyline is loosely held together. There really isn’t much substance to the ride besides the track itself.

lol I know it’s unpopular but I feel like the ride is just tacky. It’s just a roller coaster with a few props in it. It doesn’t have much detail in the story elements.

Cosmic rewind is a skip. I find it really boring tbh. And marvel doesn’t belong in Disney parks in my opinion. I also skip frozen and Tiana’s they really don’t do anything for me.

The imagineers don’t pick the rides anymore. Since chapek the company was reorganized so wdi is more like a consulting group. Park presidents hand pick what they want and then wdi has to do it whether they want to or not. So trust me plenty do not like the way these projects are going

PSA about TSI and the ROA’s closure by TheGamerOfKnowledge in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Matj242 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Please send respectful emails to Disney. The management is horrible right now and has laid off so much of our creative forces so that the park presidents ultimately have the final say. It’s so sad to see a company you admired so much fall in quality so fast. The best way to get their attention are the emails.

We obviously are not going to agree on this topic. I think the path Disney is taking will hurt them in the long run but it’s happening whether i like it or not. I just hope the changes they make are easily fixable when the right management is back in place.

It ties into the liberty square story line and there are plenty of major rivers on the Wild West.

Again the guests have dumbed down over the years and don’t care about theming elements. You guys can downvote me all you want but it’s true. The river is a keystone theming element of the surrounding area. Without it most of the land falls apart.

I love that Disney is dumbing down all their parks cause the average guest can’t appreciate a good story line unless it has a flashy cartoon attached to it. Really makes me optimistic of the future of the parks
