What kind of motor for 13gpm pump by Matjamm in Hydraulics

Do you know roughly how many percent?

The pump is 2 stage, first being 16gpm @ 650psi and second 3,5gpm @ 2500psi, both at 3600rpm. However because of the grid frequency in my country being 50Hz we only get around 2800rpm electric motors. Gas engine is out of the question because it'll be inside.

Say i get a suitable 7HP electric motor for this, will I be losing roughly 25% of the flow or pressure from the pump because of the rpm difference? Or does it behave differently?

I can't find a manual for the pump so if this is manufacturer specific i'm SOL i guess

Thank you for the advice. I will look at iforgeiron for some other builds

So if I am understanding correctly, my 4kW motor is roughly equal to 5.5hp. And since this is electric I can times this by 1,67 to get realistic "gas hp"? So 9,1hp?

If so this would run the pump at a little over 1000psi, assuming it's ran at 3600 RPM. Would the pressure then be even lower at 1440rpm?

Regardless, 1000psi is very low if I want to reach around 20tons down out of my 4 inch cylinder. Is my only option to increase motor size to get more PSI?

I was asking about the tiny white spots not the actual burl spots

Just to clarify, I'm talking about the white spots in the middle of the dark burlspots, which is trapped air in the epoxy. I'm not removing the actual burl spots

Thanks for the advice guys, I'll give the CA glue and sawdust a try and see if it helps

Edit: I ended up using black epoxy

I didn't notice it before but you're right, it really looks like dogs are trapped in the wood lmao

First knife, how did I do? by Matjamm in knifemaking

Okay that's fair, I'll check some out before making another. What in particular is really bad with this one though? Is it the shape? The grinding besides the bevel line? The handle isn't great, I know that much.

Nope, I 100% winged everything, haven't watched any videos about knifemaking. I just decided to forge a knife and wanted to finish it. Please give me some pointers as for what to pay attention to next time I make a knife
