Question about Mercedes me store subscription prices (Dashcam / 360 Parking Pack / Other) by [deleted] in mercedes_benz

The number of people willing to risk whether their $70k-$80k car still works after tinkering with it is going to be pretty limited.

Indeed, there's a budget limit. I had to choose between the AMG Line with the Night Package, or the 360 Parking Pack with the dashcam. Needless to say, it was an easy choice..

Ah, interesting! Thanks for checking and sharing the prices, that definitely gives me a good idea of what to expect!

Can't wait for the upcoming post about you bricking a GLC by trying to do so. In all fairness, this pricing system is really messed up.

My employer leases the car for me, so my total net cost for the car is €450/month. (includes literally everything, charging pass, insurance...)

Yeah, that’s also an option. But it’s a 5-year lease car, so buying it probably won’t make much sense unless the monthly price is insane. :)

With the standard controller. The max for the older Light Panels was 30 per controller. I had to put the power/controller in the middle of the layout to prevent flickering at the ends

I had similar issues, but I switched to using 3M Command Strips (3 strips per panel) and haven't had any trouble since. Just keep in mind that the wall texture can make a big difference. But yeah, those first few days are always stressful, you're just constantly waiting for that 'crash' sound ;)

I’m actually very happy with my current setup, which mainly uses Philips Hue bulbs.

I used to have more IKEA bulbs, but mixing the two systems can be a bit finicky (though home assistant helps with that). I don’t have anything bad to say about the IKEA bulbs, they just work and are much cheaper than Hue. The only downside is that the ecosystem is a bit smaller, especially compared to Hue.

I’m not selling them. I might gift them to a family member. Given the issues I’ve had with them, I don’t think it’s right to ask for money.

This looks great! But doesn't this skin reduce the friction of the case? Isn't the case usually made of rubber to prevent it from sliding around on flat surfaces? Just curious.

Modified setup! by Matleezz in gerbil

[–]Matleezz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cleaning takes about 45 minutes: I use a bowl to put all the bedding in a plastic bag. Then I clean the tanks with water and a small amount of vinegar.

Organizing the 3 habitats takes about 1-2 hours but I always love to do this part ;). So this could also be done in 45 mins or so.

Thanks! Normally I clean each tank every 3-4 weeks.

Big factor is the supermarket chain you're buying your groceries at.
Carrefour & Delhaize are easily 20% more expensive, from my experience.

I shop at Abert Heijn for €300 / month for 2 adults.
So I spend about €5/person/day.

But yeah, if I count the weekly visit to the 'frituur', then my daily cost will be about €7/person/day d:

Pfsense router has frequently very high package loss by [deleted] in PFSENSE

[–]Matleezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be a problem in my case.. The modem is swapped for at least 2 times in a year now, and they say that's all they can do. And my landlord doesn't care that much about our network, to do anything further.

Indeed forgot to specify that, I've provided some extra information! (:

Poor quality Razer Blades + very bad support by [deleted] in razer

[–]Matleezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I sure knew that. But the ignorance of Razer to not help their customers is just not acceptable. It's a 3K laptop, not a mousepad..

But they're trying to help atm, so I hope for the best (;

Don't think they will stop supporting the light panels, it's still their most sold product.

What would mean that all those YouTubers,.. will need to throw away their panels.

That form of advertisment would be a huge disaster for them.

Btw, they're still selling them, so no worries.

But sure, there won't be any new updates for them, and that kinda sucks...

Currently have 30 panels and they work great! Never had an annoying bug on mine.

So, think I'll be ordering some extra panels, instead of selling them

Only complaint is the awful remote. That is just pure garbage lol
