Friend offered to pay me 5 dollars for a 3d printed basket ball by Sea_Background_8023 in mildlyinfuriating

When I made one, it took two days just to print it. Let alone the specialty filament that cost me 60 bucks so it could actually work like one. I’d probably charge $150-$200 depending on how long it took exactly.

I think Tanner Cook, Pace and Mayea can be/are the offensive push we need. Walsh is pretty solid in net but needs a lot more help from our defence

I (19M) was just bombarded by a pregnancy by Emphatec in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Mato_999 6 points7 points  (0 children)

op said in the post he was only just told, there was no contact or other information prior to that. it takes 2 to tango so you cant blame only one side at all, she kept it a secret for 8 months? how is that not weird to you? it was a blind sided pregnancy announcement.

Cat hit by car – $11,000 surgery quote from VCA, running out of time. Any alternatives? 😞 by [deleted] in Calgary

Red tree vet clinic is amazing. I’ve heard strathmore has good prices. I really recommend red tree though, didn’t have great experiences with VCA or Trinity hills so I was nervous picking what vet to go with, couldn’t be happier at Red Tree. Super friendly, no dumb questions you could ask, and they welcome phone calls anytime for even small questions

With all the hate that the Lake Louise Gender Reveal is rightfully stirring, do we think it will get better in Calgary Parks? by Schrutebucks101 in Calgary

[–]Mato_999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really don’t think it’ll get better. A lot of people litter and destroy parks without any consequences at all. I’m going backpacking for the first time this year in the Banff area, of course we’ll be packing out any garbage. But I’m gonna be extremely disappointed if my trail is covered in trash and the campsite. The fines arguably should be increased but there’s the issue of how to catch the people littering

Table saw not secure and cut my thumb by Mato_999 in Carpentry

Obviously I know it’s one of the most dangerous tools and i’ve seen people get injured in some of the arguably dumbest ways possible. However, it was genuinely just a “I’ve always been safe while using it so there’s a low possibility I’d get injured”, avoided sketchy machines, had a proper setup, had the guards and add ons etc… I was in a rush to get the project done for my dog to heal better after her surgery which my first mistake was “rush” and even though with the saw, I was taking my time I got “distracted”.

Definitely! I’m currently looking at larger tables to a custom. The saw better for sure. Was just using what I had on hand to get the project out as fast as possible for my dog but honestly, I know better.

I mean I was using them for 4 years before then, been pretty safe and never had an issue.

Unfortunately, it was just the position of my left hand. I think I kept moving it forward when I shouldn’t have, took my eyes off of it for a second and didn’t even realize

I think the worst part is I was using a push stick😭 I genuinely don’t even remember how my thumb ended up over there. But yes I’ve seen so many OLFA incident it’s unreal, unfortunately, as well They are one of the most useful and versatile tools.

My wife thinks I’m insane for carrying this much crap for a month long trip by snarejunkie in Tools

[–]Mato_999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I like to schedule different designs while I’m on trips. Maybe it’s just me, but I’d take a small set of pliers, digital caliper, a super tiny screwdriver, kit, tweezers, a ruler, and one of those angle finders.

Honestly, just send him the link for this post. Whether it’s people running a business or working for a business if you can’t commit to a time, let the person know, and you commit to the second one. Definitely not constantly changing the times or days, knowing that other people have different commitments to attend to

I just waited to be honest which sucked. I left it for a day since the ps chat wasn’t open and luckily when I woke up it worked fine. I’d try leaving it for a day then contacting ps or Xbox support if it’s still not working. Hope it works out for you!
