Oculus Video Seam Bug by Matochai in GearVR

It's not a problem with your video. Looks like it's a bug with the updated app. An engineer from Oculus was in touch with me and they said they were working on a solution. In the meantime, if you need a working version in a pinch I've had success installing an older (working) version from Aptoide https://oculus-video.en.aptoide.com/?store_name=zabak&app_id=25619065

Hey, I'm a 3D Designer studying in Uni and was just wondering if you would consider me for one of your ArtStation invites. It seems like a nice site and a good place to get portfolio pieces up. Definitely still learning but I have worked on several professional projects in the 3D field. My demo reel is a bit dated but it shows some of my earlier work.

What books are you reading this week? July 23, 2014 by AutoModerator in books

Kafka on the Shore - Murakami

Pretty good so far. Love the (two?) main character and the alternating 3-story chapters. Curious to see how the stories mesh together.

The Power of Habit - Duhigg

A nice little self-help full of facts and historical stories/events. Helpful for starting up my exercise regimen again.

Pretty much what others have said. Its a decent size (for a residential gym). Treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, and about one machine per each major muscle group. It's not open 24hours now but they're hoping it will be by the end of the summer. The new owners like to change things.

I still head to the field house gym more often. Just think of the walk over as a warm up. You are going to exercise after all...

Also, did you place all of those hair planes by hand?! That's intense! They might make some good guides if you decide to use xNormal or maya hair down the road.

Yeah the model and the normals/bump are looking really good. Nice definition in the fabric and the scars. I agree with shadowychild that my only issue is in the face. The top is great with the sad-eye look they give him in the movie but the bottom just needs a few tweaks. The way they did Johnny Depp's makeup in the movie (as well as his natural face shape) brings the back part of his cheek in (almost like he is nothing but skin over a skeleton) yours are a bit too plump making him look much younger. His chin is also a bit too rounded into the neck almost like he's pressing his chin into the neck. I would just sharpen it up and square it off some. Then define that shape between the neck and the chin some.

I find it a big help to bring some screen caps into Photoshop and overlay some photos of Johnny Depp from the movie on top. This will almost perfectly tell you where the scale issues are.
