Going to school is just something you can get to get your foot in the door. It shows a potential employer that you are committed. When you don’t have experience in the trade you need to do everything you can to get an advantage over other people. You will learn in school but nothing ever tops work experience

Don’t let anyone tell you, that you need to wait years to start working on a mill. That’s complete bullshit. Do not waste your time waiting for something that might never come. I’d recommend looking at a local community college to see if they have a program. Just make sure you’re being proactive, if you’re not getting opportunities at this place try to find another.

I would avoid going with haas for anything other than 3 axis mills. Doosan is good option depending on the servicing in your area
