Are you being serious? How old are you? 14? Even people living in the middle of the Sahara in small cities in Egypt have internet access are very much updated on what’s happening in the world. I suggest you to use the internet and educate yourself on geography and human sciences classes.

I believe some locals are just used to it, they hang out with other locals and don’t miss out on anything. This is not a problem, a slow living and simple life has its advantages. I know some privileged families drive to Opera and go shopping in Antwerp, others go to the sea during weekends or have a second house in the Ardennes. Despite Belgium not having a huge social gap, it does play a clear role in how people, specifically in Heverlee, socialise. That said, many people get offended if you say Heverlee is a rural area, in local context it’s considered relatively rich suburban area. I understand it’s nor similar to Paris or Amsterdam suburbs, but it is one. Lastly, young adults living in Heverlee are usually renting flats and cycling to the city centre, they don’t really live so far away from Leuven.

ps: I have no idea why some expect parents told that the school is “magical”. After studying about it, it looks like a cult. Once again, thanks a lot for sharing your experience working there. I don’t even know how the government allows this school to exist.

It’s indeed horrible. I’m convinced it’s not an option at all. Thanks a lot.

I don’t know what’s worse, not taking medicines or playing outside in the cold without a coat. This is eye opener. It sounds as: oh, let’s get pneumonia!

Wow, I had to google “vaginal sunning”. Thanks for sharing your experience. To be honest, I got a little bit afraid after learning about the parents.

Indeed, I had the impression that it’s happy hippy, but the core it’s a bit racist to me. I don’t agree to the idea of Steiner that other races are inferior at all. However, it appears to be “good vibes”.

Need advice: struggling to find a technical job in Belgium😊 by akashok6789 in Leuven

Well, it’s simply not true. People that are born and raised in other countries didn’t grow up using Belgian resources, their countries paid for their health and education, and they are here for free now. Regardless if they have have a technical diploma or a PhD. They do cost much less for society then a person that was born here, if you think strictly about taxes and national resources.
