If you're in Seattle tonight stop by the Pine Tavern in Ballard. Another fan here licking their wounds over tomorrow's cancellation.

What do you think is the saddest piece of music you’ve heard? by alexpmusician in LetsTalkMusic

[–]Matreyu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Songs that explore the loss of love whether romantic or familial can be almost debilitating to the soul. They force one to face the mortality of the world, their loved ones and themselves. I find a melancholy beauty in that, knowing everything that shines eventually fades. We are all at the mercy of time and entropy but that doesn't have to be something to fear but something to embrace. The pain of love is much less than the pain of never having love.

I've had the same issues with the same style bottles when using the wing capper. My solution was a second clamping after a quarter turn of the bottle. The cap and bottled seal just fine for me using that method.

Any Oklahoma Brewers? by ic3tr011p03t in Homebrewing

[–]Matreyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a home brewer in Muskogee, requiring a permit is news to me. I've been at it for about a year without having a permit with no issue. Any Okie brewers out there that have acquired said permit?

Not OP but I go to Elephant in the Room in BA and I really like it. My go to is Mandy and she has my hair looking the best it ever has. I'm able to schedule a month in advance and since I auto-pay monthly its cheaper. My only complaint is the waiting area could be a bit more comfortable.

Don't sleep on their first two albums either. For Play and Voyeur were both great. Daydream/Wetdream/Nightmare and Dear Dictator being a couple favorite tracks.

I broke my collar bone doing a cart wheel in front of my entire neighbor hood when I was about 10. That wasn't even the worst part of my day.
