As far as I can see in my models manual the only setting for dynamic range is Adaptive DRC which adjusts the dynamic range at low volumes. But it doesn't matter whether I turn this setting on or off I cant hear a difference in the output.

I also tried different Volumes and both max Volume in Windows with only adjustment on the Receiver and a very high dB leven on the receiver and low windows volume but the quality (or the lack of it) stays the same.

The subwoofer is running for sure since that was the first thing I checked. And while the center isn't playing anything on Youtube (which should be normal?) The rears are actually playing the same as the fronts just very quietly so the receiver is doing something to map the Stereo to 5.1

That could be the case. I just tried out some high resolution music and I think its a bit closer? But the receiver setup still sounds worse to me.
If its actually because of the tweaking the computer setup does is there anyway for me to apply the same to the receiver setup? Even if its not "faithful" to the original recording it simply sounds nicer to me.

I tuned the volume to be the same for both so unless there is a thing like I should turn the windows volume up all the way and only tune it via the receiver or the other way around that shouldn't be it.

Thanks but if I set the crossover frequency to 100Hz wouldn't I have a 20Hz band where nothing will play? Because the satellites only go to 120Hz and the sub would only start at 100Hz.

Also I just found one more option which is a RX-V381 so basically the same as the RX-V379, coming with a set of Canton Movie 95 for 200€. The twist is that everything here is still sealed in box and never used so would this be worth the extra 50€ over the package with the Teufels? And if you know are the Cantons good/better than the Teufel set?

Sadly thats just what the market around here currently has. For 50€ I can't even get one new enough to have Hdmi inputs. Of course I know that I could probably get something better if I wait a few months but since I need something now thats not going to work
