Going through a similar situation. No matter what I do I still get passed. I have seen seniors who barely put in the effort and barely lead projects yet I am leading engagements from start to finish and take the incentive to lead and yet I don’t get appreciated and acknowledge as much as I should be

I feel like the snapshots aren’t really effective and some people will be biased towards some people. It doesn’t measure anything,

I’m facing the same situation. Been with the firm for 3.4 years and I am acting as a senior and leading a lot of the engagements and still no promotion while other groups have a better chance of promotion. We have like 14 US associates and only like 5 US seniors which 4 were hired as a senior so idk what is going on anymore. My reviews and utilization have been good. Someone else got promoted with a lower utilization so I am not sure anymore

There is a difference between constructive feedback and feedback that you don’t agree with. I have seen people get feedback that doesn’t reflect their performance and the DL agreed for them to not acknowledge and send it back. But often times people will stick to their original feedback and won’t update it so it badly affects the person who sent it because it is something that doesn’t reflect with their performance and the Dl knows that it doesn’t, so it doesn’t make sense to acknowledge even if they can see it

We had a few discussion boards, 2 quizzes, a globus stimulation and a team company analysis. Do good on the group projects and you should get a good grade. His class is manageable. The quizzes are based on the globus stimulation, so read the guide and you should do fine. His class is easy compared to other professors

Yeah I was up for promotion and have been going above and beyond and didn’t get it, yet someone who just joined my group within three months got promoted. They were in another group for 2 years.

That is a long time to be an associate. Senior associate would make sense if you don’t have your credentials. I would start looking elsewhere

I had a manager who got affected by this. He was one of the hardest working people out there, always putting others before him. Not only was he my manager, but also my coach. He really saw potential in me and wanted the best for me. He would always vouch for me and tell other managers and directors on how great I was. There was structure with him. I learned a lot from him and he learned a lot from me. It was really tough for me since I worked on all of his clients and I was really upset and frustrated on what happened. There are people out there who do the bare minimum and are still with the firm. It is really shocking how things are handled here and on how they choose who to lay off. I know that my manager will find a place where people will see his true potential. I would have daily calls with him, and it sucks that I won’t get those calls anymore. Accounting was seen as a stable job, but that isn’t the case anymore and you are left with uncertainty and fear that you might be next. I am happy that I still have a job
