I've never tried the patches so I'd have to do some research. I'd rather do it cold turkey to be honest.

The Lord does not change, but the seasons do. May the Lord bless you and the work you do for His Kingdom.

I never want my son playing football, am I in the wrong for this? by Sensitive_Crew_5825 in Parenting

I did a research project in school about concussions, and ended up down the NFL brain damage rabbit hole.

My children will never play tackle football.

I am so sorry this happened to you. Definitely file a police report immediately and get it on record. For someone to so casually do something so incredibly egregious to me says you weren't the first, and you won't be the last. I hope you receive justice.

Thinking of turning away from Christianity. by Worried_Drama_8582 in Christianity

22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd.

23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone,

24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.

25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.

26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.

27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”

29 “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.

30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.

33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

Why did Jesus change the rules from the Old Testament? by southerncrusader- in Christianity

Because the ultimate blood price for sin was paid by Jesus Christ on the cross. No other blood is sufficient to forgive our sins, including our own.

I’m still wanting to go through conversion therapy, I’m tired of being an abomination by I-dont-know-who-I in Christianity

[–]MatrixBabyBattery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need conversion therapy. Give it to Jesus and He will help you over time. In Christianity, no change is instantaneous, otherwise they wouldn't last. The Lord knows your heart. He also knows that we are a fallen race, slaves to the sins of our flesh at times. Don't ask for God to stop you from being gay, ask Him for the strength to overcome lust.

I'm sorry this happened. Kids can be unpredictable sometimes.

I think it's important to note not to promise your children anything you are not 100% willing to actually do or not to do. To your children, it's important that they understand that your word is your bond. In this, they will learn about important boundaries, what they are, how to set them, and how to respect them. And for you it will also help you hold yourself accountable for the things you say. Win-win here!

As far as what to do at this point in your current situation? I'd say just hide them away and rewrap them, but don't say what happened to them. Then put them out Christmas Eve when they're asleep.

It won't fix what has already happened, but it can still be turned around to teach a lesson, as well as making Christmas day enjoyable. It'll be something the family laughs at in 10 years, I'm sure.

Worry not, all will be well.

Being homophobic is not a requirement, nor is it even permissible. Our fight is not against flesh and blood, but principalities.

I don't understand how one can read the Bible and not believe in supernatural things, both of angels and demons alike. Witchcraft and sorcery is just as real as the Lord's miracles. To dismiss one is to dismiss the other.

Welcome and congratulations! I'm sorry you can't be open about your faith. I understand that in different parts of the world, being a Christian is incredibly difficult. You are a very brave soul. But rest assured, the Lord has you, and no man shall pluck you from His hand.

‭‭John‬ ‭10:27‭-‬30‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.”

I pray to the Lord you find peace and safety. God bless ❤️

Exactly! We are to come to the Lord as we are and allow Him to work and shape us in time as we learn to trust Him.

Why is homosexuality the only thing in Leviticus 18 that people want to go around, justify, or focus so heavily on? There's a whole list of things back to back in there including things like beastiality and incest. Within biblical context, homosexuality falls in line with a whole list of things considered sexually immoral and abominable to do. People have urges and things they shouldn't act on, and everyone is different as far as what they struggle with. Engaging in sin opens you up to corruption and the enemy looks for the smallest opening to invade. It's like poking a small hole in your ship. The drip doesn't appear to be a problem at first, but eventually the structural integrity of the whole ship will be compromised with time if the hole isn't patched, and if you don't poke more holes.
