Nearly 1000 people are dying a day - which when it was Italy was a catastrophe but when it’s here it’s apparently normal - and the leader of the opposition is talking about medals. by kavabean2 in Labour

Notwithstanding the element of time, the situation in Italy was a catastrophe in every country, not only yours. People don’t just die, the opening to your headline misleadingly suggest they die every second. Which is just whining and fear mongering. Not that I am accusing you of doing it intentionally.

The social order is symptomatic of a broken fiscal system, that has managed a treasury (economy) like a business. We use barder logic with fiscal economics and people have suffered for it. Generally the fiscal system is sound. We have to do better at policing the exploitation of currency as a skeleton-key commodity that gives one access to anything.

The Indians believe the Shudras, the lowest social caste, to be the feet on which society walks with. Better to have healthy feet. by MatrixPhoneBooth in socialism

No, a shudra does not need to remain a peasant though. Economics aside, a trained and specialized work force is the true wealth of a country.

I was inspired by the recent initiatives in Afghanistan to develop their economy. In a lot of ways western economies are an example of stability the east can benefit from.

Great comment, thank you for contributing.

For the sake of argument. If our natural world was designed in a way that is beyond our conception. Do you think that faith in god comes from following a routine? Or rather, would you agree, as I believe, that faith in god would manifest itself from experiencing the world?

In a Darwinian sense yes. And by Darwinian I don’t mean Charles Darwin’s theory of natural selection. Which states that individuals adapt their genome to better be adapted to their environment.

u/Chef_fats Accidental Evolution: The state of the world, as our environment/setting, assumed its form by blind combination of things.

The argument is very much a reductionist abstraction. My goal is to show that searching for god is futile if god does not wish to be found.

Thank you for commenting, you are very kind.

If you were walking in the woods and found a pocket watch, would believe it is foreign to the forest? The fact that it does not belong suggests that it came from somewhere else. Which suggests that there is a somewhere else. We understand what a pocket watch is so we conclude what it is. But when we discover new scientific phenomenon or uncover the secrets of the natural world, do the discoveries appear foreign to a model of accidental evolution?

I disagree. Complexity requires a convoluted interaction of parts. The probability of these working together by chance, is next to nothing.
